Actor Ryan Gosling will be journeying into space soon… on the big screen.
During the Star Wars Celebration event in Tokyo on April 18, it was announced that Gosling was going to star in an upcoming Star Wars film, PEOPLE reports.
The new film will be directed by Shawn Levy, who made an appearance during “The Mandalorian and Grogu” panel in Tokyo. It will be titled, “Star Wars: Starfighter.”
The movie will be set five years after “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”
It is “an entirely new adventure featuring all-new characters set in a period of time that has not been explored on screen yet,” a Lucasfilm statement said (via USA Today).
It will be in theaters on May 28, 2027.

“Andor” Season 2 will be out on Disney+ at 9 p.m. ET on April 22, 2025. It will be released in four weekly installments, with three episodes each time.
This will be the show’s final season.
The show serves as a prequel to the films “Rogue One” and “A New Hope,” following a thief-turned-rebel spy, Cassian Andor. The plot centers around them building a big rebel alliance to go up against the Galactic Empire.
