As multiple outlets like TMZ reported, she expressed her grief in public as well as behind closed doors.

Obviously, none of us are mind-readers.
But many have observed that Paulson appeared to be distraught — and understandably so.
Photos showed Paulson hugging another person, likely a fellow mourner.
She also sat in her vehicle outside and ultimately departed from the late actress’ home.
She was one of multiple people who visited her home in the wake if this heartbreaking news.
They have been friends since the ’90s
For those unfamiliar with why Sarah Paulson would be on the short-list for visiting Diane Keaton’s home, their friendship spanned more than a quarter of a century.
In 1999, Keaton — already a celebrated actress and a household name — starred in The Other Sister alongside Paulson, who was at that time in her 20s.
Paulson and Keaton became fast friends.
