The last three months have been incredibly painful for Savannah Guthrie and her family, as they continue to yearn for details on the disappearance of her mom, 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie. But marking the first Mother’s Day without her mom likely brings a new level of grief.
On May 10, 2026, the “Today” anchor’s husband, Mike Feldman, posted a short but poignant tribute to his wife. He shared a candid photo of Guthrie kissing and embracing their two children — daughter Vale, 11, and son Charley, 9 — and wrote, “To the strongest person I know. Surrounding you with love on Motherâs Day. â¤ï¸ðâ¤ï¸”

Fans and friends immediately flooded Feldman’s post with love and encouragement for Savannah, acknowledging how hard it must be to mark Mother’s Day without her mom.
“You are so beautiful and strong,” one person wrote. “Iâm so sorry for your pain. Hugging those sweet babies is a wonderful feeling in the storm. Know you are loved by millions. Happy Motherâs Day.”

Authorities believe Nancy Guthrie was abducted from her home in Tucson, Arizona, overnight on February 1, but the search for her and her kidnapper has gone on for nearly 100 days.
According to the Daily Express U.S., a new handwritten sign appeared outside Nancy’s home on May 8 ahead of Mother’s Day, left among the flowers and notes people have left in her honor.
The message on the sign said, “To the abductor. Your mom would be ashamed if she knew what you did. So, before you take her flowers on Mother’s Day, take Nancy home or tell the family where she is so they can celebrate on Mother’s Day. Do the right thing. Then you can go home to yours.”
On May 9, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, who has led the local search efforts, told told Fox News Digital that his task force working the case is making progress. The outlet shared footage of him leaving a local establishment and, when a reporter asked Nanos if they’re any closer to solving the case, he said without hesitation, “We are.”
His update came days after FBI Director Kash Patel condemned how local authorities handled the early days of the case during an interview on “Hang Out with Sean Hannity.”
âThe first 48 hours of anyone’s disappearance are the most critical,â Patel said. âFor four days, we were kept out of the investigation.âÂ
Anyone with information related to the Nancy Guthrie case is encouraged to call the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, which is leading the investigation, at 88-CRIME or call the anonymous FBI tip line at 1-800-225-5324.
