The federal investigation into Diddy began in part because of a civil lawsuit filed by his <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/diddy-staring-cassie-2015-met-gala-gaining-renewed-attention.html/”>former partner, Cassie Ventura</a>. While they settled the case, dozens more people have filed lawsuits against him since. He faces over 60 civil lawsuits.</p>

The jury will be instructed to deliberate only on the information presented in court. Evidence about prior sexual assault allegations not included in the indictment will not be allowed during the trial.</p>
<p id=”par-4_27″>Still, at least four witnesses who are expected to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/sean-diddy-combs-testifying-trial-huge-mistake-expert-says.html/”>testify against Combs</a> have already filed civil suits against him. Combs’ trial is expected to last several weeks.</p>
