Ian Somerhalder celebrated his birthday on December 8 as he turned 47 years old. Now, he’s taken to Instagram to note where he is at this age and what goals he has in mind for 2026 while also posting an eye-catching thirst-trap.
Along with photos of the former “The Vampire Diaries” star working on his post-acting ventures, he shared a shot of himself while he appeared to be working out. Opting to go shirtless, Somerhalder showed off his fit physique.
Somerhalder Revealed His Plans for 2026
“This is 47,” Somerhalder wrote in the caption of his post. “Get strong again. Be prepared, physically, mentally, emotionally for every twist turn in 26â. Iâm up at 4:30 AM. Working. Happy Holidays people!”
Beyond that, he shared his gratitude “for the tough lessons 2025,” while revealing “what[‘s] on tap” for to 2026.
His first goal involves learning to fly in order to “log hundreds of hours while building my companies and visiting farmers, spreading the seeds of regenerative agriculture and helping them (farmers) transition to a prosperous regenerative life.”
Additionally, he wants to “[b]uild out this this content studio (itâs a mess right now) and digitize my life, streaming to you instead of grinding it out on the road. Give my body a break. Connect with you all more.”
On top of that, he aims to “[b]uild these billion dollar companies every day with discipline, with passion, grit and innovation,” “[m]ake regenerative ag the most common practice of agriculture in the USA,” “[p]ut HUNDREDS of BILLIONS of DOLLARS back into the US economy and beyond our shores around the WORLD” and “[i]nspire people with the story that weâre going to literally save the entire planet and change history.”
The Star Offers Some Inspiration for 2026
“My two words for 2026: DREAM and PURPOSE,” Somerhalder continued in the caption of his post. “They guide like beacons in the night. Iâm loaded up with both of them.”
The star also pointed out that you can “[m]ake your dreams come true,” saying, “Please load up your life with both of these elements. Theyâre so elemental, they should be on the periodic table𤯔
He added, “Great to remember: When we regenerate the natural world, the more WEALTH and HEALTH will flow like life-giving river. Not just for the rich. For EVERYONE. Itâs up to us. So?!
