See That Time Taylor Swift Appeared on ‘CSI’ as a Teen

Taylor Swift CSI Turns 25

It’s hard to believe that “CSI” premiered 25 years ago. The hit crime show premiered in the year 2000, and aired its final episode in 2015. To celebrate 25 years since the show’s first appearance on our screens, People rounded up a list of some of its most memorable celebrity guests, and among those was a 19-year-old Taylor Swift.

See a clip of the fresh-faced teens in all her “CSI” scenes below. People says she called appearing on the series “a dream come true.”

“CSI” Was Taylor Swift’s Acting Debut

Her 2009 cameo on the episode “Turn, Turn, Turn” was the “Style” singer’s first acting role. She told Katie Couric at the time, “I’m obsessed with crime shows. I love them so much. ‘CSI’ Last Vegas is my favorite.” The star went on, “It kind of pairs up all the things that I’m obsessed with other than music. I love video editing, so when I see really cool editing and really cool effects, I admire it and I go back and watch it again.”

Swift also shared, “I love the whole crime scene aspect of it, of figuring things out and analyzing. I’ve always wanted to be one of the characters on there. They’re trying to figure out what happened to you. I’m gonna freak out and probably cry when I meet my favorite character. George Eads is the guy who plays Nick Stokes. It’s his storyline basically. He’s the one investigating my murder! Oh my god, I can’t wait!”

Taylor Swift Went on to Act In “Valentine’s Day”

The year after her “CSI” role, the “False Gods” singer made her film debut with a place on the ensemble cast of 2010’s “Valentine’s Day.” Swift met “Twilight” heartthrob Taylor Lautner on the set, who would become her real-life boyfriend and inspire at least two unforgettable songs, “Back to December” and “Midnight Rain.” The pair shared adorable chemistry in their scenes as a pair of lovestruck high schoolers.

So why did Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner break up? Today says in a 2023 “Call Her Daddy” interview, the “Sharkboy and Lava Girl” star shared some insight. He explained, “We didn’t talk for a while. But I’ve always had the deepest respect for who she is as a person before anything else.” Lautner went on, “So, it’s been really fantastic over the past year. I mean, honestly, I would say one of the greater things to happen in my life over the last year is the rekindling of our friendship because she just is … just a wonderful human. And she’s pretty great to have in your life.”

He also confirmed to Cooper that it was Swift who called off the relationship, back at the end of 2009. He laughed at the host’s suggestion that he fans consider him Taylor Swift’s “best ex,” saying, “Is that real? I’ll take it.”
