Sharon Stone Just Revealed She Went on a Date With THIS Much Younger Rapper

Well, we certainly didn’t see this coming, but honestly, we are here for it. Apparently, Sharon Stone is really into all types of music, including rap. Well, sort of. Hollywood has served up its fair share of unexpected pairings, but Stone just added one to the top of the list. The actress, who is now 66, once went on a date with rapper Nelly. Yes, THAT, Nelly.

The “Basic Instinct” actress confirmed the long-rumored night out during a recent appearance on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”

It’s Getting Hot In Here, For Sure!

Seated next to her “Nobody 2” co-star Bob Odenkirk, Stone fielded questions about her past love life when Cohen pulled out a rumor card involving the Grammy-winning hip-hop star.

“I mean … this is crazy enough that I actually might believe it,” Cohen said with a laugh, while Odenkirk chimed in, “I’m gonna say yeah.”

Then Cohen cut to the chase. “Sharon, did you go on a date with Nelly?,” he said. Without missing a beat, Stone smiled and said, “Yes, I did.”

Stone was quick to clarify that the evening with the “Country Grammar” rapper was just that one date. “No, I did not,” she replied when Cohen asked if there had been a follow-up.

The revelation sent the studio audience into gasps and applause, because, well, this is truly impressive. Nelly, who is now 50, built his career on chart-topping hits like “Hot in Herre” and “Ride with Me.” But, as expected, he has never publicly discussed the brief encounter.

For Stone, though, it was all in good fun, of course. While she didn’t share details of the evening, the actress seemed amused to finally confirm what fans had long speculated.

Do Opposites Attract?

On paper, the two couldn’t be more different. Stone, who’s an Oscar nominee, has been a fixture in Hollywood since the early ’90s. She’s been known for decades thanks to her femme fatale roles and red-carpet presence. Offscreen, she’s a mother of three sons. Roan, 25; Laird, 20; and Quinn, 19, whom she adopted after her marriage to journalist Phil Bronstein ended in 2004.

Nelly, meanwhile, has spent more than two decades as one of rap’s biggest crossover stars. He’s well known for blending hip-hop with R&B hooks and pop sensibility. With three Grammys and multiple platinum records under his belt, he remains a touring force and a mainstay on nostalgic playlists everywhere.

That their worlds briefly collided feels a little less strange in hindsight, but hey, if it works, it works. Both are fixtures of their industries, both were single at the time, and both have always projected a playful charisma that makes this surprising duo almost make sense. So, why not?

‘We Belong Together’

Stone has been candid about her ups and downs in romance. Married twice, first to producer Michael Greenberg and later to Bronstein, she’s also been open about dating struggles in recent years. This includes hilarious (she’s admitted) and some disastrous online encounters.

In a 2024 interview with The Times, she admitted one date turned out to be a convicted felon, while another was “a heroin addict who’s clearly 20,000 heroin injections later than the picture he sent me.” That second meeting ended quickly when Stone told the waiter, “I’ll have a glass of water,” before excusing herself. A queen who knows what she’s worth!

But the actress doesn’t dwell on missed connections. “I don’t look for anything,” she told the outlet. “Because I don’t think that’s what happens. You’re standing somewhere, someone walks up and starts talking to you and you turn around and think, ‘What?’ And the next thing you know, two years have gone by.”

As for the Nelly date, it may have been short-lived, but fans are delighted she finally confirmed it. The rapper went on to marry singer Ashanti in 2023, shocking fans left and right. Together they star in their own reality show, “We Belong Together,” which showcases their daily life.

The unlikely pairing adds another colorful chapter to Stone’s already fascinating personal history and proves she’s still full of surprises.

And who knows? In another universe, maybe Sharon Stone and Nelly would’ve been the ultimate early-2000s power couple. For now, though, the story of their single night out is enough to keep Hollywood buzzing.
