Rapper Skepta has shared his anger over the ‘sickening’ men who violated the bodily autonomy of Kim and Kanye’s daughter, North West.
The 13-year-old musician had been meeting crowds at Paris Fashion Week when she was swarmed by several male attendees hoping for a picture.
In one palpably uncomfortable exchange, a video showed the teenager reaching out for a handshake when an adult man leaned in, grabbing her for a hug.
Other pictures and videos show North looking uneasy as another grown man poses for a picture with his arm draped over her shoulder.
This behaviour has drawn the ire of Skepta, 43, who shared a series of reaction posts on X.
‘A blind man could see she wanted a handshake,’ he captioned a re-share of the orginal incident.
In a follow-up post, Skepta clarified: ‘My fans know I try to stay out of peoples business but damn the way grown men, complete strangers, try to use North makes me sick.’
He signed off this tweet with four puking emojis.
Skepta’s reaction was met with some backlash from social media users, including a user named uglymannyy, who asked if hugging was ‘a social offense’ now.
Taking no prisoners, Skepta replied: ‘What are you talking about?! She is 13 years old and she put her hand out for a handshake, you don’t ignore that. I can’t believe some these replies to my tweet.’
After another user claimed that North had ‘basically skipped being a teenager’ due to the piercings on her face, Skepta responded: ‘WOW!! 😢 Protect your kids people. Protect your kids!’
His final post on the matter described the incident as ‘sickening,’ adding: ‘Schools teaching French, German & English when really the language most people need to f*****g learn is ‘Body Language.’
North is the eldest of four children Kanye shares with ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
Kanye and Kim tied the knot in 2014, having welcomed daughter a year earlier, in 2013.
Two years later, they welcomed son Saint, and daughter Chicago (via surrogate) in 2018.
Their fourth and final child, Psalm West, was born in May 2019, via another surrogate.
The pair officially broke up in 2021, when Kim filed for divorce against her rapper husband. After reaching an agreement, they legalised matters in 2022.
Since then, Kim went on to high-profile relationships with Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson and current boyfriend Lewis Hamilton.
As for Kanye, he married Australian designer and performance artist Bianca Censori in 2022.
North has gone on to pursue stardom like her famous parents, releasing her debut EP, N0rth4evr earlier this year.
In 2024, she performed Simba’s iconic song I Just Can’t Wait to Be King The Lion King 30th Anniversary at the Hollywood Bowl.
Her performance at the event was largely panned, with many questioning whether she had only been chosen as the daughter of Kim and Kanye.
Kanye himself shows up in behind-the-scenes footage which aired on the Disney Plus series Kardashians, joining his daughter in a pre-performance prayer circle.
During her own appearance on the show, Kim said: ‘Kanye and I want the best for the kids and so anytime we’re here supporting our child, it’s always good vibes.’
This footage was filmed before Kanye sparked outrage with a series of comments perceived by many as divisive and antisemitic in nature.
This includes his releasing a song called Heil Hitler and advertising a swastika T-shirt for sale on his site.
Other outbursts have included his praising Hitler, opposing abortion and gay marriage, supporting gun rights, describing slavery as ‘a choice’ and endorsing Donald Trump.
An apologetic Kanye has since tried to walk back this behaviour, penning a full-page advertisement in The Wall Street Journal titled ‘To Those I’ve Hurt.’
In this piece, he claimed that an accident, which occurred 25 years ago, had caused ‘serious damage’ to his mental health and led to his bipolar diagnosis.
He went on to say that he had ‘lost touch with reality’ in recent years and, subsequently, continued to ‘ignore the problem’.
West continued: ‘I said and did things I deeply regret. Some of the people I love the most, I treated the worst. You endured fear, confusion, humiliation, and the exhaustion of trying to have someone who was, at times, unrecognisable. Looking back, I became detached from my true self.’
‘In that fractured state, I gravitated toward the most destructive symbol I could find, the swastika, and even sold T-shirts bearing it,’ West recalled.
Soon after, he further elaborated on the letter, telling Vanity Fair that he is ‘not a Nazi or an antisemite.’
