Just a week before, Hoganâs loved ones and fellow wrestling legends gathered in Florida for a private funeral service at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, near his Clearwater home. The service followed his death on July 24, when first responders were called to his residence for cardiac arrest.
He was pronounced dead at a local hospital, with the official cause of death listed as natural. Reports later revealed that Hogan had been privately battling leukemia while also managing atrial fibrillation. Over the last decade, he underwent more than two dozen surgeries, including back operations and knee & hip replacements.
Among the mourners at the service were Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Kid Rock, and comedian Theo Von. Pallbearers wore yellow rose lapel pins in tribute to Hoganâs iconic ring gear, as they carried the WWE legend to his final resting place.
