Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing have announced the birth of their first child and revealed they have called the tot Ziggy.
Jamie and Sophie, aged 37 and 31 respectively, announced the pregnancy in June 2025, and after months of waiting, have finally announced their firstborn’s arrival.
Taking to social media, the couple shared an image of the pair cradling little Ziggy with a sweet caption.
The caption read: ‘Ziggy, you have our whole hearts.’
The pair also shared polaroid-style pictures of Sophie looking over the moon on the birthing bed, as Jamie wrapped his arms protectively around his wife and firstborn.
Many friends flooded the popular pair with their congratulations, as fellow Channel 4 star Emily Blackwell said: ‘Oh my god!!! Congratulations guys I can’t wait to meet him.’
The One Show’s Alex Jones said, ‘Hooray!!! Let the adventures begin,’ while Jedward said: ‘I can’t believe it congratulations and you got the baby bag 😉 Good chats the other day you daddy material and mommy material.’
Jessie J commented, ‘You did it mama,’ while Stacey Solomon said: ‘Congratulations.’
The reality star couple shared the happy news of their pregnancy in June.
Announcing the news that they are expecting their first baby together on Instagram, the pair shared a video of their scan.
In the video, Sophie could be seen lying on a hospital bed and smiling at Jamie, who asked how she was feeling and said, ‘Oh my god.’
On seeing the scan, an emotional Jamie was heard saying, ‘Are you kidding me?’ while the camera panned to Sophie, with her jaw on the floor, staring at the screen and listening to the heartbeat.
The couple has shared their preparations for welcoming their first child ever since the announcement, not mincing their words when it comes to some of the rougher side effects of pregnancy.
Sophie previously confessed her teeth are ‘frail and rotting’ and also that she’s struggled with fainting spells at points in her pregnancy.
Sophie revealed she was advised by her doctor to just lie down and listen to her symptoms. She added that she also could feel her body expanding and dealt with swelling in her pregnancy, citing that she had ‘massive hooves’ instead of ‘petite feet’.

The couple both came to fame on the E4 series Made In Chelsea. Jamie joined the series in 2011, while Sophie joined in 2017.
The couple were friends for three years before they began dating in 2019.
Their relationship was a focal point of the series, and provided various storylines including a breakdown in Jamie’s friendship with Sam Thompson, who dated Sophie for six months.
The pair had their ups and downs, including a cheating scandal, but managed to find their way back together.
The couple announced their engagement on December 18, 2021 with a sweet post on social media.
Jamie shared a video of himself and his then-fiancée celebrating as she donned a white cap with the inscription: ‘Mrs Laing-to-be.’
‘I couldn’t think of anything better than spending the rest of my life with you,’ he penned in the caption.
Sophie captioned her own post, showing the pair cuddling: ‘WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you @jamielaing ❤️❤️❤️’
Since tying the knot, the couple has become known for their joint podcast NearlyWeds which then became NewlyWeds, which then changed again to NearlyParents.
The couple has shared all kinds of updates on their podcast, and incived pregnanct celebrities such as Kathering Ryan, to share their pregnancy journeys.
The couple has just moved into a new London home, with Jamie previously sharing a look at the humble abode, which is reported to be worth £12million.
