In a December 1 Instagram post, she wrote, âWhatever ends up happening with me and Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism.â Schumer has long been open about Fischerâs autism diagnosis.
The âTrainwreckâ star, who shares 6-year-old son Gene with Fischer, added, âFingers crossed we make it through, heâs the best.â
Her note came after fans noticed she wasnât wearing her wedding ring in recent photos and began speculating about what might be going on.

âI never wear jewelry,â she wrote.
âI didnât lose 30lbs, I lost 50. Not to look ho,t which does feel fun and temporary. I did it to survive I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy and can kill you but the internet caught it and that disease has cleared.â

Schumer first shared her Cushing Syndrome diagnosis in 2024. In her latest update, she explained that the condition caused the dramatic changes in her appearance.
Along with her diagnosis, the âKinda Pregnantâ star addressed the online reaction to her slimmer appearance.
âSorry for whatever feeling itâs giving you that I lost weight,â she wrote. âIâve had plastic surgery over the years, and I use Mounjaro.â She added that she is currently âpain-freeâ and able to run and play tag with Gene. âHappy to share more,â she wrote, âif anyone has any questions about how Iâm looking or how Iâm feeling.â
Despite the noise surrounding her appearance and her marriage, Schumer is still sharing glimpses of her life with Gene.
In a November 30 post, her son could be seen walking into her photo shoot. As she captioned the moment, âTrying to go to the party but someone wonât go to bed.â
Schumer has made it clear that whatever happens next, she is prioritizing her health, her son, and her truth.
