Love Actually star and one-time EastEnders legend Martine McCutcheon has announced that she has returned to her 90s pin-up roots this summer.

Martine rose to fame playing Tiffany Mitchell on the BBC soap from 1995 to 1999. During her time on Albert Square, she met and married Grant Mitchell, with whom she had one child.

The Queen Vic barmaid was killed during a lovers’ tiff(any) with her husband – accidentally running into the path of an oncoming car as Grant attempted to snatch their child.

After her EastEnders exit, the 48-year-old went on to appear in the 2003 romantic comedy Love Actually, directed by Richard Curtis.

She played Natalie, a junior member of staff at No.10 Downing Street – where she quickly caught the eye of the Prime Minister, aka Hugh Grant.

Taking to Instagram, Martine has shared an update on what she has been up recently – returning to her ’90s’ pin-up girl’ to watch this week’s England match with her son and husband.

Sharing a series of pictures, she revealed her outfit for the day’s sporting activities – a football T-shirt tied off to reveal her stomach, a pair of white denim shorts and a hefty pair of heels.

Posing with an iced drink and a large pair of black sunglasses, a wide smile adorned her face as she prepared to enjoy this week’s balmy weather.

Another picture showcased her long legs – and those heels again – while a third revealed nine-year-old son Rafferty, kitted out for the football match which followed between him and his dad.

‘I embraced my 90’s pin up girl again last night!! It’s been a while… (I’m not breathing in, or holding my breath at all!) But I had fun and it felt good! Shes still there!!!,’ she captioned the post.

‘The Mac’s felt England could have done better… But it ain’t over yet!! Rafferty was showing me all the shots that we “Should have taken” And he was victorious in his match against Daddy.

‘My footwear wasn’t suitable to play… Sorry(not sorry) The shoes made my legs look good, so they weren’t coming off! I’d wake up with them on if I could! Here’s to the next Match!Have a fab Friday all!! [sic].’

The comments below Martine’s post were full of awe of her summer look.

‘What a Perfect Moment,’ wrote the user eddchrisofficial, referencing her 1999 song.

‘Girllllllllll!!! This is giving 2006 World Cup and I am HERE for it!!!!!!’ exclaimed jhd.x.

‘You look in great shape, shame England didn’t,’ joked blyth_mick, referring to the team’s underwhelming 1-1 result on Thursday.

‘Goals,’ said mrshopkins73 – pun presumably intended.

In addition to her stint on EastEnders, the 90s was notable for Martine’s pop career, during which she first charted with the song Are You Man Enough in 1995.

Her biggest hit, Perfect Moment, reached number one in the UK singles chart in 1999, with her debut album releasing that same year – and earning her a Brit Award nomination for Best Pop Act in 2000.

She has continued to return to both her music and screen work in the years following – including three more studio albums and two episodes of the BBC drama Spooks.

In 2012, Martine married Jack McManus after three years of dating. The pair have one son together.

If things have been quiet from Martine recently, that’s because she has taken a break away from her career to look after her family and well-being.

‘Hello! I’ve not been here much,’ she said in an Instagram post last year. ‘But taking some much-needed time out from work and social media was much needed. In fact, it was life changing.’

‘I’ve been in this industry since I was a toddler and to simply have that time away from it all and my health has been like I’ve sighed the biggest exhale!

‘Life has a funny way of making you stop if you insist on running,’ she continued.

This came as she opened up about her diagnosis with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) in 2011, and Lyme disease and fibromyalgia years later.
