<p id=”par-1_41″><em>Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings </em>is back for a new season. But one familiar face is sadly missing. <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/paul-walker-loved-going-to-drag-races-long-before-he-starred-in-the-fast-and-the-furious.html/”>Drag racer</a> Lizzy Musi died in June 2024, and the new season of the Discovery Channel <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/reality-tv”>reality series</a> is dedicated to her memory. </p>

<p id=”par-2_40″>Musi was a respected drag racer known for her frequent appearances on <em>Street Outlaws. </em>In April 2023, she revealed that she’d “been diagnosed with triple negative <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/the-bachelorette-katie-thurston-reveals-devastating-toll-medically-induced-menopause-cancer-fight.html/”>stage 4 breast cancer</a> that has moved to my lymph nodes to my liver.”</p>
<p id=”par-3_18″>“I have a rough journey ahead of me. I appreciate everyone’s messages and calls,” she wrote on <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/CrUqWnusyvS/?hl=en” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-4_48″>Musi kept her followers update on her cancer battle on <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/C5omnUguMmC/?hl=en” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>social media</a>. A year after her diagnosis, she wrote that she was “so very thankful to what this journey has actually taught me. I now know I have a purpose in life. I am grateful to keep going.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_12″>Musi died on June 27, 2024, at age 33 in North Carolina. </p>
<p id=”par-6_14″>Her father, street racer Pat Musi, posted a tribute to his daughter on <a href=”https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2560485877487706&set=a.224991007703883&type=3&ref=embed_post” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Facebook</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-7_64″>“Surrounded by her Family, in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25 pm tonight,” he wrote. “Thank you for all the prayers and support throughout her battle. At this time, the family would like to have time to process, grief, and make arrangements in peace. We will give an update as soon as we have information to share.”</p>
<p id=”par-8_15″>Musi’s former fiancé and fellow <em>Street Outlaws </em>cast member Kye Kelley also mourned her death. </p>
<p id=”par-9_59″>“Lizzy was family to all of us,” read a statement Kye Kelley Racing posted to <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/C80gXEXNINa/?hl=en” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a>. “It’s very difficult to find adequate words to say at this time. Please bear with us as we process the loss of our friend, and keep her friends and family in your thoughts and prayers. She is riding with us all this weekend.”</p>

<p id=”par-10_59″>Season 6 of <em>Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings </em>is a tribute to Musi, who broke barriers as a <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/vin-diesel-confirmed-an-all-female-fast-and-furious-spinoff.html/”>female street racer</a>. In 2014, she became the first woman to win a Pro Nitrous national event at the Professional Drag Racers Association U.S. Drags. In 2023, she was the first female driver to win an event on <em>No Prep Kings. </em></p>
