Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left incensed yet again after a spoiler from within the BBC show leaked.

For well over a decade now, results from the iconic dance competition have routinely been revealed before the show airs on TV.

Whether it’s through a fan forum, blog or TikTok, the Strictly team appear powerless to stop information from leaking to the public.

This time around, the much-loved Christmas Day special has been ruined for viewers.

The festive show will feature Scarlett Moffatt, Fury from Gladiators, Brian McFadden, Nicholas Bailey and All Saints star, Melanie Blatt fared on the iconic dancefloor.

With it being hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman’s final show, the moment was bound to be an emotional one.

But now, with the winner already being named, many have taken to X to share their fury, with @margare55125842 saying: ‘Won’t be watching Strictly again even at Christmas.’

@xViCkIx_ also wrote: ‘Are we even surprised?’ while @WilliamMil8h86
exclaimed: ‘Not going to waste my time watching 👀,for protest for Lewis and Katya.’

While the results show for Strictly is pre-recorded, a website dedicated leaking the results each week before the BBC has a chance to air them is called StrictlySpoiler, run by Dave Thorp.

His website garners up to 500,000 views at times, and many Strictly fanatics subscribe to his Patreon or PayPal service.

In an exclusive chat with Metro last year, he lifted the lid on his double life, and revealed what happened the only time the BBC contacted him, and what would make him stop spoiling.

He said: ‘I think the last time the BBC ran live results on Strictly was 2009, so that’s probably not on the cards. I think the BBC just accepts that if you’re prerecording something the day before it goes out, it’s going to leak, unfortunately.’

This weekend will see the remaining couples on Strictly fight for a place in the grand final.

George Clarke, Karen Carney, Amber Davies and Balvinder Sopal will all be hoping to get their hands on that coveted Glitterball trophy.

Amber in particular earned her second consecutive 40 out of 40 with a stunning routine.

This comes after fans could not believe that Emmerdale actor Lewis was eliminated, with one even arguing that he and Katya were ‘the most robbed couple in the history of this show’.

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special will air on December 25 at 5.30pm.
