Strictly Come Dancing has undergone a lot of change in the last 12 months or so.
The crown jewel in the BBC’s Saturday night line-up has lost hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, several fan favourite dancers have left, and they’ve got a new spin-off.
Apparently this is all part of the Beeb’s plan to attract a younger audience to the series.
Still, all this turmoil has caused disquiet in the Strictly fandom, and it seems a recent change might be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
So what’s got everyone’s sequined knickers in a twist?

Well, the BBC has released a new video revealing what the stars and their pro partners would be dancing to this evening.

The clip shows the cast writing on a sign-up sheet one after the other, until all the names are added along with the dance they will perform during tonight’s first live show.
But this is a pretty big departure from how previous dances were revealed.
Normally, the dancers had their own individual video where they shared what they were performing, and the change has upset some people who want to see a little more ceremony around the announcements.
‘I hope next week it is back to the nice little video with what dance and song on a Tuesday!! Please,’ wrote Emma Corbett on Instagram.
Emily Godden agreed, adding: ‘Can we at least keep the normal song reveal format? We have enough change already’.
‘I miss the old way of announcing the dances,’ added Elliebecsf.

The complaints weren’t contained to Instagram either. On Reddit, fansvfavourites wrote: ‘Oh, I hate this change to the reveal.’
While madeleineruth19 wrote: ‘Strictly producer/social media manager: please never announce songs and dances like this ever again.
‘Completely unreadable. I also thought it was another random promo and scrolled? If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!’
Still, grumbles aside, most people agreed they were excited for tonight’s live show and were looking forward to showing off what they’d been practising.
