David Corenswet has been hailed as a ‘real life’ Superman after leaping to his co-star Milly Alcock’s defence at the premiere of her new movie Supergirl.

In video footage from the red carpet in New York City on Monday, David, who plays Superman in James Gunn’s DC Universe, can be seen confronting a photographer for touching Milly’s back without permission.

As fans crammed into the event, David looked visibly annoyed with the photographer for breaching his co-star’s privacy.

Putting himself between the actress and the line of media, he raises his hand at the photographer to tell him to stop.

Shortly afterwards, he joins Milly along with Rachel Brosnahan and Nicholas Hoult, who play Lois Lane and Lex Luthor respectively.

Responding to the moment online, fans of the superhero franchise were proud of David’s actions.
