After welcoming 16-month-old RZA Athelston Mayers, the Umbrella hitmaker, 35, and her 34-year-old rapper husband announced they had welcomed a second child in August.
Now, an insider has explained the unlikely reason behind Riot Rose’s unique name.
The source told Entertainment Tonight: “Not everyone knows this, but Rocky loves flowers – he loves having fresh flowers in the house, he loves decorating with flowers, and he even had real flowers in his grill once.’
We weren’t expecting that, but fair play.
The iconic couple announced the happy news on August 3, two days after welcoming Riot to the world in Los Angeles.

Some people also reckon Riot was named after a track released by his father – real name Rakim Mayers.
Their first boy’s name is a tribute to producer and rapper RZA, 54, leader of the Wu-Tang Clan, as well as being a nod to A$AP’s middle name.
It is said the Love The Way You Lie hitmaker feels her family is ‘complete’ now Riot is in the world.
An insider told People magazine recently: ‘Rihanna feels her family is now complete. It’s something she’s always wanted.’
Reflecting on becoming a mother, Rihanna previously told British Vogue magazine: ‘Oh, my God, it’s legendary. It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever.
‘You literally try to remember it – and there are photos of my life before – but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far, because… because it doesn’t matter.”
While the pair have known each other since 2012, it wasn’t until 2020 that romantic rumours spread, as they were spotted together at various occasions thoughout the year.
In November 2020 A$AP Rocky confirmed they were an item, referring to Rihanna in a GQ interview as ‘the one’ and ‘my lady’.
They went red carpet official at the Met Gala in September 2021, and it appears the rest is well and truly history.
