NFL superstar Travis Kelce turned 36 on October 5, 2025, with the sweetest movie date — adorably taking his mom, Donna Kelce, and his aunt and uncle to see his famous fiancée Taylor Swift’s new film.
Kelce was in Jacksonville, Florida, preparing for the Monday Night Football matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars. But in an exclusive photo uploaded to the Kelce Brothers’ social media account, Travis could be seen taking a birthday break to head to a local theater for a showing of “Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl.”
The theatrical release, with music videos and behind-the-scenes footage, was only in theaters for three days, coinciding with Taylor Swift’s release of her 12th album, “Life of a Showgirl.” According to Deadline, the three-day event raked in a whopping $33 million ticket sales at theaters across the U.S.
Swifties Swoon Over Travis Kelce & His Family’s Celebration of Taylor Swift
The Kecle Brothers account’s original post noted that Travis took his mom as well as her brother Don and Don’s wife Joan to the movie in Jacksonville. They all dressed up for the occasion, matching Swift’s album cover colors — orange and teal — complete with feathered fans and teal feather boas.
Fans swooned over seeing Travis and his family take time to support Swift, whom he proposed to in late August — an engagement that nearly broke the internet.
One Swiftie gushed, “Look how happy Donna is! Fully decked out, wearing a Taylor hat, so proud. Iâm SOOOO happy for Taylor and Travis. The right two people found each other ðâ¤ï¸”
Another fan wrote, “I get so emotional seeing him support herðð§¡they deserve each other”
Noting that Donna was wearing a white baseball cap with an illustration of Taylor on it, another fan commented, “~ Future Mother-in-law flex ðªð§¡ Just love the hat Donna is wearing ðð”
Though some noted it might be awkward for mother and son to sit together in the theater during some of Swift’s more risque songs, like the ode-to-Travis tune “Wood,” others pointed out that only the clean versions of her songs were featured in the film.
While Travis and the Chiefs play in Jacksonville on October 6, Swift will be in New York, appearing on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.” The following morning, October 7, she is due to talk with Ryan Seacrest on his daily radio show. Swift will be back on NBC on October 8, appearing on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.”
Travis Kelce Supported His Mom’s Own Movie Releases in 2024
This isn’t the first time Travis has supported his family’s (or family-to-be’s) movie endeavors, though.
In 2024, he said he was excited to see his mom’s acting debut in Hallmark Channel’s “Holiday Touchdown: A Chief’s Love Story,” starring Tyler Hynes and Hunter King. Donna played the owner of a barbecue joint in Kansas City who offered Hynes’ lovestruck character some sage advice.
Donna appeared in a second Hallmark movie in 2024, “Christmas on Call,â starring SerâDarius Blain and Sara Canning. That movie took place in Philadelphia, where her other son — former NFL player Jason Kelce — spent much of his football career.
