Actress Sydney Sweeney stood strong in the face of intense body shaming on social media, showing up the body shamers with an Instagram montage.
Sweeney shared a collage of cruel social media posts mocking her physical appearance in the wake of viral bikini photos. At the end of it, she included videos that showed her doing aggressive workouts, including boxing.
According to InStyle, the workout video clips show Sweeney doing prep work for her upcoming portrayal of professional boxer Christy Martin.
The Instagram montage has more than 475,000 likes, although Sweeney disabled comments on it.
The Bikini Photos Were Taken Outside Sydney Sweeney’s Miami Mansion, Reports Say

According to DailyMail.com, the bikini photos showed Sweeney, 27, in a bikini outside “her $13 million waterfront mansion in the Florida Keys.”
She was seen casually wearing a purple bikini with her hair pulled up. DailyMail.com reported that other photos showed Sweeney with her fiancé Jonathan Davino.
The pair has been dating since 2018, according to DailyMail.com.
Sweeney previously spoke to Vanity Fair about difficulties in dealing with the media. “Hopefully people realize how silly all the headlines are because, I mean, you know how this works,â she told the publication. âWeâre going to have a conversation, weâll talk for 30 minutes, itâs condensed, then people donât understand the context behind the conversation, and itâs all clickbait. Unfortunately I donât get to control my imageâmy image is in your guysâ hands.â

Many people came to Sweeney’s defense on social media. “Every person on the Internet arguing Sydney Sweeney isnât hot should have to post their own photo and/or their wife or girlfriendâs photo. I think the criticism would vanish in a hurry then,” wrote one pundit on X.
“All the hate Sydney Sweeney is getting just bc she gained some weight to play her role in the Christy Martin movie is insane…male actors lose and gain weight all the time, sometimes it’s even praised, but when it’s a woman they have to body shame her, it’s so sad,” another person wrote on X.
