The 10 Netflix shows everyone’s watching right now as one gets 7,400,000 views

November is a big month for new shows on Netflix. With a whole lot of returning favourites nestling alongside those newcomers competing to become the streaming platform’s next megahit, you’ll be spoiled for choice as the nights get longer and the weather gets colder. This week’s most-watched chart has no shortage of gems – with many of the thrillers which dominated last week’s list still holding up nicely, alongside fantasy, gruelling physical game shows and one of our reality favourites. 10. Squid Game: The Challenge: Season 2 – 3,200,000 views this week

The first of this week’s new entries sees the return of this Squid Game spin-off, in which 456 contestants take on a series of high-stakes mental and physical challenges – with a sizeable $4.5m (£3.4m) prize up for grabs. Unlike the actual Squid Game, the losers make it out of this one alive – but with everything to play for, it’s still pretty edge-of-the-seat stuff. (Picture: Netflix)

9. Death By Lightning: Limited Series – 3,200,000 views

The next new arrival is this historical miniseries which tells the story of James Garfield, who became the 20th US president in March 1881 – only for his time in office to be cut short when he was shot in July of that year and died two months later. An all-star cast appears in this, including Michael Shannon as Garfield and Matthew McFadyen as his assassin Charles Guiteau – while Nick Offerman, Shea Whigham and Betty Gilpin also star. Another new entry, this one from Poland, and once again based on a true story – the tragic sinking of the MS Jan Heweliusz ferry in 1993. The disaster, on January 14 of that year, saw the vessel capsize in the Baltic Sea claiming the lives of 56 of the 65 passengers and crew. Netflix’s reality competition Physical: 100 returns for a new series – except this time the focus is on Asia, in the first of several spin-offs. For those new to the series, its premise is tofind the ‘ideal human physique’ based on performance – so expect some pretty gruelling challenges for the contestants. (Picture: Netflix)

6. Selling Sunset: Season 9 – 3,600,000 views

The iconic reality series continues to keep us all gripped as it returns for the ninth time, complete with feuds, killer outfits, luxury real estate and a new agent, Sandra, who just happens to be Sofía Vergara’s younger sister. This is also the last chance you’ll have to watch series stalwart Chrishell Stause, who announced last week that she’s quitting the show to focus on her mental health. (Picture: Netflix)

5. Bad Influencer: Season 1 – 4,000,000 views

In a busy week for new entries, here’s another, in the shape of this South African drama series which sees the world of social media influencing collide with the Johannesburg criminal underground. The series follows struggling fashion designer and single mother BK (Jo-Anne Reyneke), who joins forces with an influencer to run a counterfeit luxury bag business. 4. Nobody Wants This: Season 2 – 4,800,000 views

Sliding down the charts but clinging on to the top five is the second season of this Netflix hit, ideal if you’re in the mood for a romcom. The series follows the unexpected relationship between an unconventional American rabbi, Noah, and an agnostic woman, Joanne. Despite their families’ disapproval of their relationship, they go ahead and let sparks fly anyway.(Picture: Netflix)

Last week’s number one is no longer an asset to the top spot – but it’s still well worth your time. This Danish crime thriller centres on Ashley, the girlfriend of the ringleader of a criminal gang, who is ‘befriended’ by Agent Tea as she infiltrates the crime circle. However, when she realises Ashley’s brutal reality, she is torn between her mission and helping her escape to safety. (Picture: Netflix)

2. Rulers Of Fortune: Season 1 – 5,900,000 views

This Brazilian thriller has been captivating viewers since it was released, increasing its audience and snagging this week’s runner-up slot. It chronicles a young man whose aim is to rise through the ranks of Rio’s gambling underworld. However, he’s naive to the amount of blood and betrayal that await him. (Picture: Netflix)

1. The Witcher: Season 4 – 7,400,000 views

After debuting at number three last week, The Witcher has made it all the way to the number one spot with an impressive number of viewers – defying the controversy over Henry Cavill being replaced by Liam Hemsworth. For those unfamiliar with the plot, it centres around the witcher, Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, who struggles to find his place in the world. The fantasy series is based on the book series by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, and set on a fictional, medieval-inspired landmass known as the Continent. (Picture: Netflix)
