GameCentral has gathered the best Black Friday discounts available for every major gaming console, but you’ll want to act fast before they run out.
With Christmas only a month away, there’s no better time to invest in a new video game console than this Black Friday week.
Fortunately, all the major video game consoles – PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2 – are discounted to some degree, although most of those deals will be running out soon.
To save you from scouring the internet yourself, for any affordable options, we’ve collected the best Black Friday deals out there for each console, as you can see below.
Best Black Friday PS5 console deals and discounts for 2025
If you pick only one console for Christmas, the PlayStation 5 is undeniably the most attractive option right now. The digital edition of the console, in particular, is extremely enticing, since it usually costs £429.99, but it’s currently going for £289.99.
As a reminder, the digital edition can’t play physical games. If that’s too much of a dealbreaker, the standard PlayStation 5, which can play discs, is also substantially cheaper at £379.99.

Both versions can be found on Argos, which is also offering bundles that come with a copy of EA Sports FC 26 at no extra cost.
Meanwhile, Currys has a bundle that includes the standard console and a copy of Battlefield 6 for £430. While both the console and game are part of Sony’s Black Friday discounts, buying them separately would set you back nearly £440, so you’d still be saving £10.
The more powerful PS5 Pro remains the most expensive of the lot, but instead of £699.99, Argos is offering it for £569.99, making it even cheaper than Amazon’s previous best price.
And if you’re in need of some games to purchase for it, we’ve put together a list of the best ones that are discounted on the digital PlayStation Store and at retailers.
- PlayStation 5 digital edition – £289.99 (£140 off) at Argos
- PlayStation 5 digital edition with EA Sports FC 26 – £289.99 (£140 off) at Argos

Best Black Friday Xbox console deals and discounts for 2025
Considering how much Microsoft has deprioritised its Xbox consoles, it’s not surprising it isn’t making as much of an effort as Sony, to offer Black Friday discounts on its hardware.
In fact, if you look at the Xbox website, the only Black Friday discounts it has are on select games and Xbox controllers.
If you are in the market for a new Xbox console, though, the best deal that we can find is a 7% discount on Amazon for the Xbox Series X. It only plays digital games, but it comes with 1TB of storage space and is £419.99 instead of £449.99.
Alternatively, Very is selling an Xbox Series S bundle that includes the console with 512GB of storage space, a controller, and 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. It normally costs £659 but Very’s reduced it to £599.
Speaking of Game Pass, despite Microsoft’s recent price hike, Smyths is still selling one month memberships for Game Pass Ultimate for £14.99, instead of the new price of £22.99.
- Xbox Series X 1TB – £419.99 (£30 off) at Amazon
- Xbox Series S bundle + 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – £599 (£60 off) at Very
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – 1-Month membership – £14.99 (£8 off) at Smyths
Best Black Friday Nintendo Switch 2 console deals and discounts for 2025
Nintendo is only offering Black Friday discounts on select Switch games, instead of its consoles, so not even the original Switch has seen a temporary price cut.
Fortunately, other retailers are selling the Switch 2 at a lower price than usual, so now’s the time to snap one up if you find its usual asking price too high.
The best deal is easily the Mario Kart World bundle at Costco. While it’s listed at £424.99 as normal, Costco is automatically deducting £50 at checkout, bringing it down to £374.99. Considering Nintendo sells the bundle for £429.99, that’s technically a £55 saving.
In the event they sell out, the next best alternative is Argos’ offer, which is selling the Mario Kart bundle for £399.99 and the console on its own for £385.99.
If you’re not a Mario Kart fan, Argos has a Pokémon Legends: Z-A bundle for £405.99, making the game just £20, while Very has a Donkey Kong Bananza bundle for £409 instead of £453.
Very is also selling a bundle that includes both Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza, and while it’s pricey at £439, that’s still less than its usual £485 price tag.
There doesn’t appear to be much interest in the Switch 1, but we did spot two offers. Wonderprice is selling the neon blue and red model for £213.99, while Dealmonday has the grey model at £195.99. As a reminder, the Switch 1 typically costs £259.99.
- Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World – £374.99 (£55 off) at Costco
