A former inmate shared what makes holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas difficult to handle.</p>

<p id=”par-2_38″>Combs’ arrival at Fort Dix came shortly before the holiday season began. Tyler King, a former inmate at Fort Dix and the creator of the prison reform program A Voice From Prison, said Combs should expect the unexpected.</p>
<p id=”par-3_28″>“A special meal might come — or it might not,” King told <a href=”https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/inside-diddys-life-at-fort-dix-prison-fights-filth-and-bad-food-excl/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Us Weekly</a>. “Some years, visitation is allowed; other years, lockdowns and raids strip away that privilege.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_19″>King said that the knowledge that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/sean-diddy-combs-family-looked-disappointed-verdict-1-surprising-reason.html/”>family members are gathering</a> without you is a particularly difficult pill to swallow.</p>
<p id=”par-5_25″>“The hardest part is knowing your family gathers without you,” he said. “It reminds you that the world keeps moving, even when yours stands still.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_31″>He noted that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/sean-diddy-combs-reunites-3-children-august-visit-sentencing.html/”>visits from family members</a> are “heavily policed.” Even if Combs’ family is able to visit him in prison, it will not be the same as a typical reunion.</p>
<p id=”par-7_31″>“You get one hug at the start and one at the end,” he said. “Everything in between must be proper — too long of a hand hold and your visit ends.”</p>

<p id=”par-8_48″>According to some sources, Combs will be <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/sean-diddy-combs-wont-given-food-halloween.html/”>receiving special meals</a> for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Per <a href=”https://www.tmz.com/2025/11/20/diddy-holiday-menu-reveal/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TMZ</a>, Combs will start these holidays with breakfast options like bran flakes, whole wheat bread, banana, and milk. While he isn’t getting a special brunch, his dinners will be a bit more festive.</p>
<p id=”par-9_38″>On Thanksgiving, Combs and other inmates will dine on turkey with trimmings, mashed potatoes, and corn. A dessert option will also be available. On Christmas, they will receive Cornish hens with mashed potatoes, corn bread dressing, and vegetables. </p>

<p id=”par-10_46″>Combs’ family members will likely make an effort to see them on or around the holidays. His son, King Combs, is even hopeful that they won’t have to travel to Fort Dix to do so. He is hoping his father will get out of prison early.</p>

<p id=”par-13_35″>“Sean’s appeal will challenge the unfair use of the Mann Act, an infamous statute with a sordid history, to prosecute him for sex with consenting adults,” his lawyer, Alexandra Shapiro, said, per <a target=”_blank” href=”https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/sean-diddy-combs-fast-appeals-schedule-granted-1236417954/” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Hollywood Reporter</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-14_35″>Combs is currently scheduled to leave prison on June 4, 2028. His original projected release date was May 8, 2028, but the date was pushed back after news broke of Combs allegedly breaking prison rules.</p>
