<p id=”par-2_34″>On Wednesday, Hulu dropped the first trailer for the the fifth season of the hit reality show, which premieres September 10. And Paul appears to be a strong presence in the abbreviated, five-episode season. </p>

<p id=”par-3_32″>The trailer opens with Paul’s co-stars commenting on her <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/tate-paul-and-taylor-frankie-pauls-bitter-custody-battle-takes-an-odd-turn.html/”>messy personal drama</a>, which made tabloid headlines earlier this year when a video of her attacking ex Dakota Mortensen in 2023 surfaced online. </p>
<p id=”par-4_14″>“There’s so much stuff the public doesn’t know,” Mayci Neeley says in a confessional. </p>
<p id=”par-5_24″>“How did she even get here?” Miranda Hope asks just before the clip shows footage of a tearful Paul being comforted by her castmates. </p>
<p id=”par-6_22″>Neeley tells a producer that the situation has “spiraled,” while Jessi Draper seems to compare Paul and Mortensen to famous literary couple. </p>
<p id=”par-7_11″>“They’re like Romeo and Juliet for the TikTok age,” she says. </p>
<p id=”par-8_27″>In another moment from the trailer, Mortensen – who is on a video call with Paul – reveals that he got her initials tattooed on his lips.</p>
<p id=”par-9_6″>“It’s giving obsessed,” she tells him. </p>
<p id=”par-10_35″>“I am obsessed,” he replies. (Paul actually cited the tattoo in her request for a protective order earlier this year, calling it “alarming” and a sign of his “increasingly possessive and erratic behavior,” <a href=”https://people.com/dakota-mortensen-allegedly-got-taylor-frankie-paul-tattoo-before-bachelorette-exclusive-11945146″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a> reported.) </p>
<p id=”par-11_19″>“We might have to have a little drama,” Draper says in a confessional. “Which is not rare for MomTok.”</p>

<p id=”par-12_66″>Earlier this year, Hulu halted production on <em>The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives </em>Season 5 after the video of Paul and Mortensen’s explosive argument (which led to her arrest) made the rounds on social media. ABC also pulled Paul’s forthcoming season of <em>The Bachelorette, </em>while <em>SLOMW </em>ultimately decided to cut the upcoming season short, picking up cameras to capture the cast’s reaction to the drama. </p>
<p id=”par-13_36″>But Paul’s legal saga doesn’t spell the end of <em>SLOMW. </em>Earlier this month, Hulu ordered 20 new episodes of the show, which will make up seasons 6 and 7. Filming is underway now, according to reports. </p>
