<p id=”par-2_71″>Each <em>Ultimatum </em>couple is at a crossroads. One person is ready to settle down, while the other isn’t sure if they’re really meant to be together forever. In an effort to figure out their future, each person will pair up with a different partner and embark on a trial marriage. At the end, they’ll have to decide whether they want to commit to their original partner or break up for good. </p>

Season 1 of <em>Queer Love </em>premiered in 2023. While it’s been a long, two-year wait for another season, new episodes are set to drop on Netflix in June 2025. </p>

<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-who-are-the-queer-love-season-2-couples”>Who are the ‘Queer Love’ Season 2 couples? </h2>
<p id=”par-5_18″>Six couples will put their relationships to the test in <em>The Ultimatum: Queer Love </em>Season 2. They are: </p>
<p id=”par-6_30″><strong>AJ and Britney:</strong> AJ, 28, received the ultimatum from Britney, 27. The pair are in love, but AJ fears the Britney will always put her business ahead of their relationship. </p>
<p id=”par-7_34″><strong>Haley and Pilar:</strong> Haley, 29, is ready to tie the knot with Pilar, 29. After a decade together, Haley is ready to settle down. But Pilar, who considers marriage a “societal construct,” is resistant. </p>
<p id=”par-8_41″><strong>Kyle and Bridget: </strong>Kyle, 30 is ready to settle down with Bridget, 28. But even though Bridget sees Kyle as her forever person, she’s not sure marriage is the right choice for them. But saying “I do” is nonnegotiable for Kyle.</p>
<p id=”par-9_29″><strong>Mel and Marie: </strong>Mel, 27, and Marie, 27, are partners in both business and in life. But are these food truck owners really ready to fully merge their lives? </p>
<p id=”par-10_23″><strong>Dayna and Magan: </strong>Dayna, 25, wants to make things official with Magan, 27. But their different attachment styles could doom their future together. </p>
<p id=”par-11_34″><strong>Ashley and Marita</strong>: Ashley, 30, feels that she and Marita, 25, have a future together. But she’s getting tired of Marita’s inability to consistently commit to the relationship, leading her to issue the ultimatum.</p>

<p id=”par-12_41″>The host of <em>The Ultimatum: Queer Love </em>is none other than <em>Sweet Magnolias </em>star JoAnna Garcia Swisher. She also hosted the show’s first season. Swisher told <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/the-ultimatum-queer-love-host-joanna-garcia-swisher-celebrates-love-love-boldness.html/”>Showbiz Cheat Sheet</a> that <em>Queer Love </em>was a celebration of all kinds of romantic relationships. </p>
<p id=”par-13_54″>“The more we talk about this, the more we normalize, and the more we celebrate, the more we just have a better understanding that the path to marriage is not the same for everyone,” she said in a 2023 interview. “It may not be for everyone, and it isn’t for everyone in the show.”</p>
<p id=”par-14_60″>“[A]t the end of the day, these are just people … love is love,” she added. “And they are all wanting that fairy tale or think that they want that fairy tale … I think the show is incredible. I don’t think that you have to be queer to love the show. And talk about opening up and being bold.”</p>
