Mackâs sister released a statement about her death on Instagram on August 5, 2025. She posted a photo of Mack as she posed for a picture. In the caption, Mack’s sister, on behalf of their family, shared the news with fans and informed them of the actress’s upcoming funeral in Ohio on August 16.
âIt is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go,â the caption reads. âKelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother Kristen and steadfast aunt Karen present. Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express.â
The message ended with Mackâs sister informing fans of how âbraveâ she was in her final moments and how âproudâ she was of her. Itâs a heartbreaking message and one that is filled with love. Fans have reacted to the news by commenting on the post in a show of support.
Among the reactions was one from Masterson, who wrote, âWhat an incredible human. So proud to have fought alongside her in our final episode together.â Masterson starred in âThe Walking Deadâ from Season 4 until Season 9.
