Timothée Chalamet has been creating a buzz around his hair for a few months. Fans had been spying a new look but couldn’t say for sure what the star had done. Now, he’s confirmed that he did indeed do what people had suspected: He shaved his head.
In a new video for Marty Supreme that Chalamet posted to his Instagram account, the star can be seen with hair that’s not only cropped short, but has been cut down into a buzzcut.
According to GQ, the actor “probably definitely has a buzzcut for Dune: Part Three.”
While some fans are a little unsure about the new look, others are into it. One person took to Instagram to write, “Kinda into the buzzcut ngl.”
Another fan added, “buzzcut timmy equals a new era loading.”
Chalamet Has Been Hiding His Shaved Head for Months
Although Chalamet has only now revealed his shaved head, there’s been speculation around his hair for months. However, no one was willing to confirm the buzzcut due to the fact that the actor had previously been taking steps to cover up his bold haircut.
“He’s gotten creative with his headgear while keeping his new ‘do under wraps for months, first covering his head with a green bandana in July while vacationing with girlfriend Kylie Jenner in Saint-Tropez,” according to E! News.
E! News also noted that the “next month, he sported a camo cap with his black sweatshirt hood pulled over the top while attending a Premier League game in London.”
Chalamet’s Hair Was the ‘Main Event’
Chalamet may be famous for his acting skills, however, fans were also pretty charmed by his lovely locks. In fact, some may have considered it a highlight of his appearance. Normally worn with a little length if not relatively long strands, he’s certainly made his mark when it comes to his magnificent mane.
“[T]hereâs really no escaping the question of his exquisitely disheveled hair,” Vogue noted during an interview with Chalamet in May 2023. After describing his outfit, the outlet noted that “his gently mussed, side-parted curls are undeniably the main event.”
“Youâre actually the first person to ask me about my hair. Whatâs the secret?” Chalemet repeated the question he’d been asked. âThere really isnât one. When I wake up, itâs a roll of the dice.”
Anticipating the next question before it was asked, he then added: “And I get my hair from my dad.”
