Timothée Chalamet arrived at the New York City premiere for his upcoming âMarty Supremeâ with a surprise dateâhis mother, Nicole Flender. The mom-and-son duo rocked matching bright orange hues, continuing the color palette that has defined the âMarty Supremeâ press tour.
Chalamet, 29, wore a double-breasted suit designed by Haider Ackermann for Tom Ford. He paired the ensemble with a matching orange scarf and watch as well as a Cartier necklace. Flender posed alongside her son, wearing a halter neck gown in âMarty Supremeâ orange and carrying a gold purse.
Timothée Last Twinned with Girlfriend Kylie Jenner
Chalamet also wore an all-orange outfit at the Los Angeles premiere of âMarty Supreme,â where he twinned in nearly head-to-toe Chrome Hearts with his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner. The reality television star and cosmetics mogul wore a bright orange gown by the brand. Chalamet opted for an orange Chrome Hearts leather suit and a pair of Timberlands. Jenner paired her stunning attire with a massive cross necklace while Chalametâs accessory of choice was a custom bag shaped like a ping-pong paddle.Â
The outing marked the coupleâs second red carpet appearance since their debut in May.
A Very Orange, Very Fashionable âMarty Supremeâ Press Tour
Film premieres arenât the only place Chalamet is showing up in the neon orange.
A âleaked Zoom callâ posted to YouTube by A24 reveals a meeting between Chalamet and a marketing team where the orange motif was born. In the video, Chalamet talks with the group about great movie marketing campaigns, eventually turning the conversation to âBarbieâ and its association with the color pink.
âEverywhere I stepped, I would be inundated with pink. What would the same be for âMarty Supremeâ?â he asks. The group agreed on orange because Chalametâs character, Marty Mauser, uses an orange ping-pong ball.
âHow do we not just cop [sic] the vibe of âBarbieâ? Hardcore orange,â Chalamet answers his own question before pulling up a PNG of the color that would come to define the âMarty Supremeâ press campaign. The actor also showed edited photos of landmarks like the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower painted in the bright hue. Â
Chalamet has since been rocking âMarty Supremeâ orange at premieres, press conferences and in social media posts. Heâs also sported a now-coveted windbreaker that fans are scrambling to get their hands on. Chalamet has gifted various versions of the jacket, on which âMarty Supremeâ is written above three stars, to fellow celebrities like Frank Ocean, Kid Cudi and even Tom Brady.
On December 16, the Empire State Building joined the trend, lighting up in bright orange as members of the “Marty Supreme” cast, and director Josh Safdie, posed at the top of the building.
âMarty Supremeâ arrives in theaters on December 25.
