Tom Brady is celebrating a big milestone in his life as a dad. On August 22, the retired NFL star honored his eldest son Jackâs 18th birthday by sharing rare photos and a touching message on Instagram.
‘From Little Steps to Big Dreams’: Bradyâs Loving Words to Jack
âFrom little steps to big dreams, happy birthday Jack. Youâve always shown grace, courage, love and kindness since God blessed us with your arrival. Iâm so proud of the man you are!â Brady wrote. âWelcome to adulthood, it comes with higher credit card limits, bigger bills, and no curfew⦠OK maybe not all at once!â
He continued, âThere is a saying that a dadâs heart soars with his childrenâs happiness, not with his own⦠truer words could not be spoken. We love you so much and I know this will be your best year yet.â
Rare Father-Son Photos on the Golf Course
Along with the heartfelt message, Brady shared several shots of him and Jack enjoying a day on the golf course. In one photo, Brady posed proudly in a white T-shirt and black pants with his son towering over him, resting an arm on his dadâs shoulder.
Other pictures showed the pair laughing together and showing off their golf swings. âEverything still pretty much the same âround here â³ï¸ @nobull,â Brady captioned one post, nodding to his partnership with the athletic brand.
Family Life With His Three Kids
Brady shares Jack with his ex, Bridget Moynahan, whom he dated from 2004 to 2006. He is also dad to Benjamin, 15, and Vivian, 12, with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. Despite the spotlight, Brady often reminds fans that being a father is his proudest role.
The athlete has spoken about prioritizing his kids, noting that family remains his biggest focus since retiring from the NFL in 2023.
Brady Reflects on Fatherhood
In a July entry of his weekly newsletter, Brady opened up about what it means to be a great dad. âI think part of being a great father is being a great example of doing what it takes to take care of your family,â he wrote.
âMy dedication to the sport, the hours of practice, the moments when I was laser focused â those were times when I believe I was doing the best possible thing for my family and my kids,â he explained.
He added, âReading bedtime stories and helping them with homework are not the only ways to be a great parent. Being a great football player didnât make me a great dad, but how I became a great player certainly had an impact.â
For Brady, the joy of fatherhood has always been about showing up, whether on the field or at home.
