On Friday, December 19, 2025, the world learned that legendary supermodel Gisele Bündchen, 45, married her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, earlier this month. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor is around seven years younger than the former VS Angel. Page Six was among the first outlets to publish the news.
Some hours later, Bündchen’s ex-husband and father of her first two children, Tom Brady, posted an interesting update on social media. The former Patriots star shared a selfie to his Instagram Stories in which he sported a sweatshirt emblazoned with the words, “Forever Young.” Brady captioned his post with the word “Yupppp” and a “100” emoji. Even more interesting than the shirt was Brady’s choice of background music. He chose the song “1-800-273-8255,” by rapper Logic. The song’s name is the phone number to the U.S. National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The song, which was released back in 2017, contains lyrics such as, “I feel like I’m out of my mind,” and “I don’t wanna be alive today.”
After that, Brady promoted the No Bull brand, with which he merged his Brady Brand apparel and TB12 nutrition brands, with a shot of himself posing in one of the brand’s black t-shirts. He captioned that photo, “LFG” which stands for “Let’s go.”
Tom Brady Wrote About ‘Emotional Resilience’ A Few Days Before Gisele’s Marriage Went Public
In an issue of his “199” newsletter which came out around 12 days before news that Gisele Bündchen was married spread across the world, Brady discussed emotional resilience, which he calls “being strong or unflappable, being zen or stoic.” He went on, “I believe the most useful way to think about it is as a negative-to-positive feedback loop. Itâs working through difficult feelings and processing challenging emotions without becoming attached to them, then turning them into learning experiences that help you adapt to all of lifeâs challenges.”
Next, Brady shared what he calls his favorite “processing tools and strategies for developing emotional resilience.” Those tools include mindfulness, journaling, self-care routines, and boundary-setting, among a few other items.
Brady says boundary-setting involves “learning to say no” and “protecting your energy and time.” He wrote, “Itâs okay to say ânoâ to people. Just because someone asks you to do something doesnât mean you have to do it. Saying ânoâ is a way to have a healthy respect for yourself, for the people in your life who actually rely on you (family, teammates, etc.), and even for the people who you are ultimately saying no to.”
He suggests meditation and exercise as some ways to achieve mindfulness, and calls journaling “is a powerful tool that is critical for people who get stuck in their heads and tend to spin as they try to think their way through their emotions.” However, he cautions readers that “you cannot outthink your feelings.”
Tom Brady & Gisele Were Married From 2009 to 2022
The A-listers tied the knot on February 26, 2009, after a little over two years of dating. Vanity Fair described the wedding as “a private twilight ceremony at a Catholic church in Santa Monica that was followed by a small gathering at the coupleâs home in Brentwood.”
The couple welcomed their son Benjamin the December after getting married, and their daughter Vivian arrived three years later.
