For his latest fight, it’s Tommy Fury versus the internet following controversial comments he made about nannies.

The boxer, 27, is a dad of two kids from his relationship with Molly-Mae Hague. They have three-year-old daughter Bambi and son Midas, who was born this June.

Influencer Molly-Mae, also 27, will regularly share an insight into parenthood with her 8.7million followers, most recently revealing that her toddler ‘put someone in a headlock’ at Pizza Express.

And now Tommy is weighing in with his opinions, which have been likened to ‘mansplaining’ and branded ‘degrading’ to women.

Speaking on his podcast with dad John Fury, the former Love Island star criticised Kim Kardashian, 45, for having a team of ‘nannies and mannies’ who help with her childcare for North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, eight, and Psalm, seven.

Posted on Instagram, a clip from the conversation began with Tommy reading out the talking point, ’10 nannies and mannies raising Kim Kardashian’s kids.’

John then boldly stated: ‘If you can’t look after these kids yourself, don’t have them.’

‘I mean, 10 nannies…’, Tommy began, to which his dad chimed in: ‘It’s ridiculous. In my family, there was a lot of us. My mother looked after us, all by herself.’

‘If you’ve got money, you can afford a nanny,’ Tommy added. ‘It’s not a cheap thing, is it?’

Taking to Google, he then researched how many children the Skims founder has ‘to warrant 10 nannies’.

‘She’s only got four kids!’, he read out. ‘But they’re (the nannies) not all working at the same time; they’re kind of on a rotation, in shifts. I guess we don’t know the full story, though.’

Tommy went on to say he is ‘all for having some help on board’.

‘Me and Molly, we have help, but we’re with Bambi every day, all day.

‘It’s only if I’ve gotta go on a call, or Molly’s on a call, or whatever like that, or we’ve gotta shoot out, the baby’s looked after all the time.

‘But I don’t understand people who just dump their kids with nannies and mannies all day, then don’t see them. I don’t understand that.’

The podcast clip clocked up 90,000 views, with comments flocking to Kim’s defence.

@katherinebbbbbb wrote that the discussion felt ‘so out of touch’, saying ‘of course she needs support, and she can afford it’.

‘I highly doubt she just leaves the kids with the nannies 24/7,’ the user argued.

@robinbrouillette described the clip as ‘two dudes explaining away motherhood’, while @cmafanlorraine3 said Kim’s kids seem ‘happy’ and that she does ‘spend time’ with them.

‘The audacity!’, declared @ceoangelworks, as @aprilnperez sarcastically commented: ‘Men judging women. What a concept.’

Others informed Tommy and John that the ‘team’ of nannies is for the entire Kardashian family, which comprises sisters Khloe, Kim, Kourtney, and Kylie, who have offspring of their own.

Tommy and John were further encouraged to ask ‘where their dad is’, reminding the father-son duo that ‘single parent’ Kim shares her brood with ex-husband Kanye West, who she previously said sometimes doesn’t see them for ‘months’.

‘A man with a full time nanny judging a woman with a full time nanny’, @a.i.stewart remarked.

Late last year, Molly-Mae confessed that she does have a nanny, having felt ‘a bit scared to talk about it’.

After being accused of ‘hiding’ the fact that she has help, she now regrets not ‘being honest from the start’.

In a scene for her Amazon Prime reality show Behind It All, her dad asked: ‘Who’s looking after Bambi when you’re away?’

She replied: ‘Tommy, when he can, but obviously we’ve got childcare at home on some of the days. I’m only sort of doing two days maximum now because she’s gotten older.’

‘There’s always been a bit of speculation about Bambi’s childcare and me having a nanny,’ she added. ‘But I never knew what such of a big thing it was going to become.

‘I guess I just shied away from it. I got a bit scared to just talk about it, honestly.’

Molly-Mae explained that she stayed quiet because she didn’t want to ‘upset anyone’ or ’cause controversy’, but having a nanny has ‘when [they’re] working has allowed her to ‘keep working and build [her] businesses and also create the life [she] wants to create for Bambi’.

Tommy himself has had to address criticism in the past about spending time away from his family for training, having left home weeks after the birth of their first child to prepare to fight Jake Paul.

When quizzed on Loose Women, he retorted: ‘I’m not bothered about anyone’s opinion, to be honest. As long as my family and my missus and my children think I’m doing alright, that’s all that matters to me.

‘And people can say what they want, but I’m away for her, to make sure she has a better future.’
