UK festival confirms 00s rock legends as headliners in huge 2025 line-up

Truck Festival may have just announced the lineup to beat for next year’s festival season with rock icons brushing shoulders with 00s megastars.

Founded in 1998, the Oxfordshire festival is still relatively small and welcomes around 30,000 people each year — less than 15% of Glastonbury’s capacity.

What it lacks in size, Truck is making up for in names as organisers bring indie stars like The Last Dinner Party and icons like Kasabian together in July.

Last year saw the likes of Jamie T, the Streets, Wetleg, and Idles take to the stage with indie legends the Kooks closing the show.

Kasabian have been confirmed as the 2025 headliners after their not-so-secret set at Worthy Farm stunned fans earlier this year.

The Fire hitmakers, now fronted by Serge Pizzorno, first stormed charts in the early 2000s with their self-titled debut album and scooped up a Brit Award in 2010.

However, it’s not all good news as fans quickly realised that this headline appearance on July 26, 2025, clashes with one of Oasis’ Wembley gigs.

‘Nooooo Saturday at Truck Festival nooooo pleease 😢 Oasis at Wembley that saturday! ☹️🔫.’ commented Veronika on the band’s Instagram announcement.

‘Truck clashes with Oasis at Wembley 😭😭😭😭,’ Tom Wells added as some fans joked about buying the highly sought-after tickets off them if it was such an issue.

This scheduling conflict could also go some way to explaining why — despite heavy speculation — Blossoms aren’t opening for the Gallagher brothers on the UK leg of the tour.

Filling up the rest of the impressive headline spots are the Courteneers, Bloc Party, and Nothing But Thieves.

This will be the first-ever UK festival top billing slot for Nothing But Thieves, who hail from Southend-on-Sea, after their fourth studio album reached number one this year.

On Instagram, the band wrote: ‘@truckfestival was the first festival we ever played, way back in 2014. We’re back on the farm next year to headline in what will be our only 2025 UK show. Wow. See you there.’

While there’s plenty of modern names on the billing, the 00s appear to be dominating at Truck as Franz Ferdinand are also on the line up.

The Take Me Out hitmakers have just announced their first studio album since 2018 — The Human Fear — as well as a huge tour.

Franz Ferdinand gained early acclaim with five Grammy nods and two Brit Award wins, including Best British Group in 2005.

Scouting For Girls are also set to play, having become staples at UK festivals over the years thanks to a huge string of hits; some of which they admitted to Metro they were tired of hearing.

‘We love playing it in front of 10,000 or so people but I’m very happy never to hear that song again,’ lead singer Roy Stride told us of She’s So Lovely.

At the time he added: ‘I love playing it but rehearsing it is like “Why?” because that’s the song we played more than anything else. But the [fan] reaction is always the biggest reaction we get, so it’s always fun.’

Truck Festival isn’t just bringing incredible bands though as 00s icon Natasha Bedingfield will be performing too, listed as a ‘special guest’.

She made a surprise appearance at Captial’s Summertime Ball earlier this year, to huge applause from the audience.

The Unwritten singer has recently enjoyed a huge resurgence, thanks to the song picking up popularity on TikTok over 20 years after it’s release.

Rounding out the line up are the likes of Wunderhorse, Hard Life, CMAT, The Big Moon, Sports Team, Maximo Park, Alfie Templeman, and even a spot of Barrioke.

Tickets for Truck Festival cost £150 for the weekend, which runs from July 24 to July 27, and fans can sign up for pre-sale tickets now.

Pre-sale begins on Thursday Novemeber 28 at 6pm while general sale starts on Friday, November 29 at 10am.
