Love is in the Italian air! The “Vampire Diaries” alum Paul Wesley is engaged to his girlfriend, model Natalie Kuckenburg. The 25-year-old confirmed the news on Saturday, July 19, via Instagram with a stunning black-and-white photo of the couple holding hands.
Her oval-cut diamond sparkler took center stage in the image.
âYes ð¤ Always and forever,â Kuckenburg captioned the post. Wesley followed up by resharing a photo of the two looking close and happy on his Instagram Stories, the modelâs engagement ring clearly on display.
A Romantic Proposal in Italy
The engagement news comes just days after the coupleâs latest European vacation. On July 16, Wesley, 42, posted a photo carousel from their trip to Tuscany, writing, âA beautiful time in Tuscany.â
Kuckenburg commented, âThe best time!!ââand the celebrations didnât stop there. On July 17, the couple was spotted sharing a kiss while soaking up the sun along the Amalfi Coast.
Their engagement appears to be the latest chapter in a love story that began in Italy. Wesley & Kuckenburg were first seen together publicly in November 2022, enjoying a romantic dinner date in Nerano. Theyâve since shared several affectionate posts and vacation moments on Instagram.

Wesley responded in kind with heart emojis and followed up by dedicating his own Valentineâs post to her. He also marked her birthday in June, calling her âmy favorite personâ in a sweet photo carousel.
In a March 2024 interview with People magazine, Wesley gave rare insight into their connection, emphasizing the importance of laughter in their bond. âThereâs two people that are the funniest people in my lifeâNumber one, my dog, and number two, frankly, my girlfriend,â he shared. âAll we do is laugh, and I think itâs probably one of the most important things in a relationship.â
