Vanessa Feltz was left ‘furious’ after finding out her Channel 5 show was axed after just one year, it’s been reported.
The eponymous talk show, described as ‘raw, unfiltered, authentic and personal’, airs on weekdays at 2pm where the TV personality, 64 and promises ‘fiery discussions, a good giggle and plenty of afternoon gossip!’.
It seems her daily dose of afternoon fun hasn’t quite made the cut to return to screens with 5 confirming it would be put to rest on July 17 ‘due to afternoon scheduled changes’.
The network told Metro in a statement: ‘We thank Vanessa and her team at ITN for 18 months of warm, witty, wise and searingly honest shows. Vanessa remains a valued member of the 5 family, and we are discussing future projects together.’
Sources close to the situation have claimed that Vanessa was left ‘blindsided’ by the decision and stormed out of the studios in a fury when talks broke down.
The insider told Daily Mail: ‘Vanessa was brought into a meeting after her show came off air this week. She had no idea what the meeting was about and certainly didn’t expect to be told it was not being renewed.
‘She feels so blindsided but also let down by bosses.’
In particular, sources claim that, alongside reportedly low ratings, the show was unable to control the regular prank calls which occurred during the phone-in portion of the show and strategies to stop them didn’t work.
Adding that the Celebrity Big Brother star has ‘given her all to the show’, they said she is ‘truly devastated, but also for her team too, many of whom will now need to find new jobs.’
The time the show has been on air has not been without controversy. In fact, one moment became the fourth most complained about on British TV in 2025.
When Karen Millen appeared on the show to criticise breastfeeding beyond six months, it garnered thousands of Ofcom complaints.
Meanwhile, it has struggled to draw in an audience, with the Evening Standard reporting that its debut episode only secured 83,000 viewers.
At the time, she said: ‘I know I’ve upset a lot of your viewers and that was not my intention’.
Vanessa left her 33-year-long gig on This Morning in 2025 and launched her rebooted talk show shortly after.
At the time, she told Metro that if she could have also stayed on at the ITV daytime show, she would have, however.
‘I almost believed I’d be able to do that, but I think apparently, it’s not the way it’s done… but I’d have done it, and I think they would have been happy for me to do it too,’ she reflected.
It is unclear what Vanessa’s next move will be now that her talk show is coming to an end.
Metro has reached out to Vanessa Feltz’s representatives and Channel 5 for comment.
