The second series of Virgin Island has come to an end on Channel 4, and fans have been left fighting back tears after an unprecedented finale.

As was the case in the first season, 12 adults who have never had sex attempt to overcome their intimacy issues with professional coaching and intimacy therapy on a beautiful Croatian island.

So far this series, viewers have been left ‘wanting to vomit’ after a man sniffed around a woman’s vagina on the TV show.

This came after fans declared one contestant’s attempt to thrust his sex therapist the ‘funniest moment of 2026’.

However, following the release of the final episode on Monday night, which saw three contestants lose their virginity, viewers are claiming that this series was even better than the first.

Writing on X, one user called JR said each of the contestants ‘should be proud of themselves’, as he wrote: ‘Glad they’ve stayed in touch, genuinely lovely group of people. Wish them all the very best.

Another user called Barney also said: ‘This series is wholesome as hell… [it’s] wildly better than the first and has so many feel good moments.’

Barney then went on to say how the show has had him ‘tearing up’ as he described it as ‘so wholesome and heart warming to see someone come out of their shell so much and smile so often in comparison to the start of the show.’

Charlotte echoed this sentiment by commenting: ‘It’s actually so impressive how much they’ve all progressed in 15 days!

‘I hope any of them who need therapy/help with any of the things they’ve talked about going forwards are able to get that. Feel super proud of them. This show really isn’t just about sex at all.’

Meanwhile, Matt wrote: ‘Such a journey to watch. That was a great series this year, they all did very well in their own ways.’

Finally, Jade claimed: ‘That was such a great series. Arguably better than the first. These letters, everyone’s newly found confidence, the support for one another. It’s so lovely to see.’

The 2026 edition of Virgin Island consisted of contestants Alex, Bertie, Callum, Ed, Ellen, Jason, Joy, Katie, Marianne, Millie, Tegan, and Will.

The final episode also saw Katie and Callum have sex with each other, which is a Virgin Island first.

After building chemistry throughout the series, the two contestants snuck away to a secluded tent to get intimate with one another.

The other virgin from the series to lose their virginity was Marianne, who worked with intimacy expert and surrogate partner Andre.

After previously practicing spanking, the pair reunited and later got intimate and had sex with each other.

Virgin Island is available to stream on Channel 4.
