Vogue Williams has revealed she and Spencer Matthews have chosen a baby name so unusual that even her closest friends were left momentarily speechless.

The pregnant presenter is expecting her fourth child with the former Made In Chelsea star and, if her latest comments are anything to go by, the new arrival won’t be joining siblings Theodore, Gigi, and Otto with a conventional name.

In fact, Vogue appears to be actively preparing the public for backlash.

Speaking on her podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me, the 40-year-old issued a warning before discussing the name she and Spencer have fallen in love with: ‘I’m just going to warn everyone, the name we love is f****d. Okay. It’s mad.’

Her co-host Joanne McNally certainly didn’t sound reassured.

‘Oh God. It’s mad,’ she replied.

‘Also, can I just say, Vogue, in your defence, having four kids is f****d.

‘So, like, everything associated with the fourth kid is also going to be away with the fairies. Because you’re entering into La La Land now. You’re in Lulu La Motherland, with the four tiny children.’

While Vogue stopped short of revealing the actual name, she admitted Joanne’s initial reaction had made her question the choice.

‘That made me go, “Oh it’s a big name,”‘ she explained.

Joanne doubled down on her assessment.

‘I was a bit taken aback. It’s the heaviest hitter yet, isn’t it? You’d have to say of the four, it’s the heaviest hitter.’

The exchange immediately sparked speculation among listeners, who are now trying to work out what sort of name could leave Joanne genuinely stunned.

Whatever it is, Vogue has at least built in an escape route.

‘It’s such a big first name. We’re going to do a normal middle name just in case so the baby can choose,’ she said.

As someone called Vogue, she admits she understands the risks of standing out on a class register.

Recalling an awkward family conversation, she said: ‘Well, listen, my name’s Vogue. I remember once Spenny’s dad, this is no joke, he actually said, “What’s her middle name? Would she mind going by that? Maria is a lovely name.”

‘And Spenny was like, “No, Dad. I think she’s 33 now.”‘

Laughing, she added: ‘I’m bringing the Matthews family name down.’

The baby name debate comes during what has been an emotional pregnancy journey for Vogue and Spencer.

The couple announced in April that they were expecting their fourth child together, but later revealed the road to pregnancy had been far from straightforward.

Vogue has since spoken openly about suffering two miscarriages, including a devastating loss last year.

She described one experience as ‘awful and heartbreaking’ and admitted it left her feeling as though her body had failed her.

The presenter explained that she had gone for what she believed would be a routine 12-week scan, only to discover the embryo had stopped developing.

‘I was really embarrassed and upset,’ she said, adding that the experience left her questioning herself.

While the couple are excited about welcoming another baby, both have admitted feeling more nervous this time around.

‘We’re so happy,’ Spencer said when discussing the pregnancy.

‘Definitely more bumps in the road in order to actually get pregnant. This one’s been harder to get to.’

For now, however, Vogue seems happy to keep one major secret under wraps. Whether the mystery name turns out to be genius, terrible, or somewhere in between, she’s made it clear people are probably going to have opinions.
