A week after Vogue Williams announced the birth of her newborn baby boy with husband Spencer Matthews, she has shared his name, which appears to have a sweet link to Disney.

The 40-year-old reality star’s family has grown by one more, with their new baby joining his siblings – Theodore, seven, Gigi, six, and four-year-old Otto – to make this a glowing family of six.

‘The house is bursting with excitement, love and happiness and we couldn’t be more delighted,’ the media personality wrote in her Instagram caption announcing the happy news.

Now, in a last-minute U-turn on the name they had originally planned, Vogue has shared a new image of the tot alongside his name…. Remy Valentine Matthews.

Remy is perhaps most recognisable as the name of our plucky rodent protagonist in Disney’s hit movie Ratatouille.

The podcast host has made no secret of how much she loves Disney over the years, with regular family visits to the theme parks and Disney-themed parties for the kids and has revealed her all-time favourite movie is Beauty and the Beast.

In fact, even her proposal had links back to Disney after Spencer dropped down on one knee after they attended a West End production of The Lion King, which is her husband’s favourite movie.

Now, it seems as though she has paid homage to her love for all things Disney through her son’s name. Many have shared how much they love it.

‘He’s gorgeous… welcome to the world Remy,’ Holly Willoughby wrote on Instagram.

‘Love the name Remy!’ Paloma agreed.

‘Oh how precious and the most perfect name,’ Audrey Hamilton agreed.

The post featured several photos of the new addition to the Matthews family as well as his siblings getting in plenty of cuddles with beaming faces.

As sweet as the name is, it has come out of nowhere, with Vogue previously revealing they had been planning to name him Elvis.

She first revealed that was the plan on her My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast but later said that they had reconsidered after pushback from their family.

‘We have changed our baby name – we have no name,’ she told co-host Joanne McNally.

She continued: ‘Spenny has been getting a few phone calls from family members regarding the name.’

Although she ‘loved’ the moniker, she herself had admitted she wasn’t ‘ 100 per cent comfortable with it’, adding that it was ‘such a big name to take on when you’re little or trying to get a job when you’re older’.

They wouldn’t have been the first celebrity couple to give their child a slightly more unconventional name. Lest we forget, Gwyneth and Chris’ Apple Martin or Molly-Mae and Tom’s pair, Bambi and Midas.
