The countdown is on! Whether youâre watching from a rooftop, riverside, or from the comfort of your air-conditioned living room, the biggest question everyone is asking is: What time do the Macyâs Fireworks 2025 start tonight?
Well, set your alarms and grab your snacks, because the official fireworks show is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:25 p.m. Eastern Time. Thatâs when more than 60,000 dazzling shells will light up the night sky over New York Cityâs East River in the nationâs most iconic Independence Day celebration.
But if you want the full Macyâs 4th of July experience, youâll want to tune in a little bit earlier.
The Show Starts Long Before the Sky Does
Before the first firework launches, Macyâs is serving up two hours of all-out entertainment. The Macyâs 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular kicks off tonight at 8 p.m. ET, broadcast live on NBC and streaming on Peacock.
Hosting the celebration is none other than Ariana DeBose, the Broadway and Hollywood powerhouse whoâs ready to keep things sparkly and spectacular all night long. And sheâs not just hosting; the âHamiltonâ legend is performing, too.
The performance lineup is stacked, featuring:
- The Jonas Brothers
- Keke Palmer
- Lenny Kravitz
- Ava Max
- Eric Church
- Trisha Yearwood
And behind the music of the actual fireworks? Thatâs the genius of Questlove and James Poyser.
Where Itâs Happening & How to Watch
The fireworks themselves will launch from the Brooklyn Bridge and four barges on the East River, lighting up the sky between Pier 17 and the Downtown Manhattan Heliport. The best public viewing locations are along elevated portions of the FDR Drive and in Brooklyn Bridge Park. A little reminder: ticketed access only.
Public access points include:
- Montgomery Street at Madison Street
- Robert F. Wagner Sr. Place and Brooklyn Bridge ramps
- Broad Street at Water Street
- ADA viewing at Murry Bergtraum Softball Field (via Pike Slip and Cherry Street)
Make sure to arrive early if youâre going in person, as we all know and expect, slots fill up quickly. Not only that, but NYPD-managed access points will close once areas are at capacity.
And for those who missed the live show? NBC will air an encore presentation at 10 p.m. ET, so youâve still got a second shot at catching all the star-spangled magic.
