If Lee Andrews really wanted to disappear without a trace, he’s certainly committed to the bit.

Katie Price’s whirlwind husband has now been conspicuously absent from social media for almost two months. It’s extraordinary feat for a man who once appeared incapable of going 24 hours without posting a filtered selfie, motivational quote or glimpse into his supposed millionaire lifestyle.

And quite a lot has happened while he’s been gone.

Most significantly, Katie, 48, has reportedly ended their marriage after discovering the enormous cryptocurrency fortune Lee allegedly promised her may have been rather less enormous than advertised: £2.22.

The former glamour model is said to have dumped Lee over WhatsApp after a financial expert accessed a crypto wallet he had claimed contained $50million (£37million).

According to The Sun, Lee had given his wife the ‘recovery phrase’ needed to access the account and allegedly promised her some of the money. But when an expert checked the wallet on Monday, a source claimed Katie discovered it contained just $3 (£2.22).

‘The marriage is done. She will never go to Dubai to see Lee again,’ the insider claimed.

They said it was the culmination of numerous issues in the relationship, but described the alleged discovery as the ‘final straw’.

Katie reportedly confronted her husband in a message reading: ‘I have been played and you are not who you say you are. Why have you lied to me?’

Lee has not publicly responded to the latest claims and, as of September 2, his Instagram profile still states that he is married to Katie.

Then again, he hasn’t publicly responded to much of anything lately.

When did Lee Andrews disappear?

Despite the extraordinary number of headlines surrounding him, Lee’s once-prolific social media presence abruptly stopped in early July.

He’s recently been charging fans and followers to receive short video messages from him on Cameo, but his final Cameo video was completed on July 9.

That same day, he posted one last Threads update: a smiling photo of himself alongside the caption ‘#dubai🇦🇪’.

His Instagram feed hadn’t been updated since June, but until then he’d still been sharing almost daily Stories. Those, too, abruptly stopped after July 9.

For someone who had previously documented practically every waking moment, it was an unusually abrupt disappearance that’s left fans asking questions.

Just days later, reports emerged that Lee had once again been arrested in Dubai.

According to The Sun, he was taken to Lahbab police station before being transferred back to Al Awir prison while allegedly attempting to raise around £120,000 to settle outstanding financial demands.

This was said to be his second stint behind bars in a matter of weeks. On July 20, another report claimed he’d been released.

‘Lee Andrews has today been released from Al Awir prison,’ a source told The Sun. ‘He was set free this afternoon following a short stint behind bars.’

Despite the supposed release, Lee never reappeared online.

Subsequent reports have claimed he actually remained behind bars, leaving the current whereabouts of one of the year’s most talked-about celebrity husbands surprisingly murky.

So where is Lee Andrews now?

More than seven weeks after his social media accounts fell silent, there has still been no public appearance from Lee.

The latest reports suggest he remains in Al Awir prison, although his precise current circumstances have not been independently confirmed.

Even if he has been released, returning to the UK may not be straightforward.

Lee has previously been subject to a travel ban preventing him from leaving the UAE, something Katie herself previously confirmed existed. What is clear is that he hasn’t joined his wife – or, apparently, soon-to-be ex-wife – in Britain.

It’s quite the development for a couple who shocked everyone by marrying in Dubai in January after knowing each other for just days. Katie initially described their meeting as ‘fate’ and Lee as ‘my person’, but almost everything that followed has been considerably more complicated.

Everything Lee Andrews has been accused of since marrying Katie Price

Misleading claims of being a multi-millionaire business owner

When Katie introduced Lee as her new partner, he presented himself as the CEO of Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 and an investor in ‘SpaceX Hybrid Fitness’.

His social media, which boasted more than 100,000 followers, was filled with photos of luxury cars, lavish Dubai lifestyles and apparent encounters with celebrities including Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian.

But the image quickly began to unravel. There appeared to be little evidence of his businesses operating as described, while several of the celebrity photos were later alleged to have been created using AI.

Being banned from leaving Dubai

After meeting and marrying her new husband in Dubai, it came time for Katie to fly home to the UK – however her husband was unable to join her.

This was due to the fact that he’d allegedly served time in Dubai’s Al Awir central prison for suspected fraud, for allegedly taking out a £200,000 mortgage in his ex-girlfriend’s name without her knowledge.

The UAW bans people facing criminal investigations from leaving the country, however Lee denied he was unable to return to the UK and said there must be some ‘wrong details’.

However, Katie later confirmed he was subjected to a ban, but didn’t clarify why.

Being jailed – and reportedly arrested again – in Dubai

Shortly after Katie returned to the UK, Lee remained in Dubai while dealing with financial issues.

Last month, it was reported he had spent four weeks in Dubai’s Al Awir prison over outstanding debts before being released.

On July 11, he was arrested again after allegedly attempting to raise around £120,000 he believed he owed.

According to The Sun, Lee sent a message to a friend saying: ‘They’ve arrested me. Katie might need to bail me out. We need to make a noise with a Go Fund Me.’

A spokesperson for Lahbab Police Station told the newspaper they had no record of Andrews being there, while Katie’s representative declined to comment.

Teasing a fake pregnancy

Just a few weeks into their relationship, both Katie and Lee teased they were expecting a baby. After Katie declared she was ‘having his child’ Lee wrote they were a ‘perfect couple soon to be triple’.

At one point, the mum of five even urged her followers to pay £2.99 to find out the results of a pregnancy test.

Despite the attempts to generate publicity, she then confirmed she was not pregnant.

Scamming a string of women

Days after Katie and Lee tied the knot, two of his exes accused him of being a ‘liar, narcissist and manipulator’.

Months later, it was then reported he’d been begging women for money weeks before he married Katie.

His ex Alana, then shared a post on Instagram calling him the ‘Tinder Swindler’ and claimed multiple women had contacted her saying he’d tried to scam them out of money too.

She later went on a podcast to share more details of her relationship with Lee, claiming ‘I genuinely thought that potentially he could have killed me.’

Faking a kidnapping

After Lee failed to return to the UK, Katie revealed she had concerns he’d been kidnapped and then reported him as a missing person.

He was later found to be in prison in Dubai. Following his release, he returned to social media with an extraordinary account of events, claiming he he had been ‘kidnapped at gunpoint’, ‘slapped around’ and falsely accused of espionage.

Dubai authorities have disputed suggestions he was detained over spying allegations, previously describing the matter as a private civil dispute.

Court documents later revealed two outstanding legal cases against Lee, including an alleged £54,000 debt linked to a rental car company and a separate claim for approximately £15,000 in unpaid legal fees.

Katie appears to have moved on — or has she?

Katie had already dropped a fairly substantial clue that all was not well before reports of the split emerged.

Over the weekend, she ditched her wedding ring while partying and shared a video of herself strutting through a nightclub.

Her choice of caption wasn’t exactly subtle: ‘Walking to my new adventures.’

Previously, while speaking on her podcast, she hinted she intended to confront him.

‘I commented when he went missing but he’s in prison and I will be questioning him about a lot of things when he’s out,’ she said.

‘I’m just getting on doing what I’m doing. There is so much, there is no smoke without fire.’

Then came another twist. Several weeks ago, Katie was photographed wearing the ring again while reading a book entitled Stop Lying To Yourself — a piece of symbolism almost too on the nose even for this saga.

One thing she has made crystal clear, however, is that she won’t be bailing her husband out financially.

‘There’s nothing I can do. I’m not here to pay anything for anyone,’ she told The Sun. ‘I’ve got my own life. Even though he’s part of my life.’
