<p id=”par-1_35″>Just before the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/sports/”>WNBA</a> 2025 All-Star Game, it was announced that Indiana Fever guard and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/celebrity-athletes/”>fan favorite</a> <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/higher-net-worth-wnba-superstar-caitlin-clark-boyfriend-connor-mccaffery.html/”>Caitlin Clark</a> wasn’t able to play in the game or participate in the 3-point contest due to injury. </p>
<p id=”par-2_47″>While she will still serve as team captain, Clark was disappointed about not getting to play in front of the home crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. After that setback, Clark’s teammate, Aliyah Boston, shared that she had a conversation with Clark and what that was about. </p>
<p id=”par-3_31″>“Just continuing to be in her corner and cheering her on,” Boston explained. “Making sure she knows, ‘Listen, we got your back no matter what. Take your time, we got you.’”</p>
<p id=”par-4_46″>Boston also made headlines for her subtle move <a href=”https://x.com/Msmelissairene/status/1946032490243907923?”>taking a drink out of Clark’s hand</a> during a livestream as everyone was letting loose for All-Star weekend. <p id=”par-6_37″>Boston was born on Dec. 11, 2001, in Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, to parents Cleone and Al. When she was 12 years old, she and her sister moved to Massachusetts and lived with a family member. </p>
<p id=”par-7_67″>Boston attended Worcester Academy where she excelled at basketball, leading her team to a 24–1 record and a second straight New England Prep School Athletic Council Class A championship in 2019. While in high school, she won Gatorade Massachusetts Player of the Year three consecutive years. After graduation, Boston attended the University of South Carolina to play for Dawn Staley’s Gamecocks. And it was then that she met Minott. </p>
<p id=”par-8_95″>Boston’s beau was born April 22, 2001, in Montreal, Canada. He has one sibling, a sister, Ann-Marie Wright. Like his girlfriend, Minott is a basketball player and also plays center. During the 2019-20 season, Minott competed in the NBA Latin America Academy in Mexico City. His team then played at the National Prep School Invitational in Rhode Island and The Skill Factory Tournament of Champions in Atlanta in 2020 before he joined the Gamecocks. After a few years at South Carolina, he transferred to Portland State University and began playing basketball for the Vikings. </p>
