The ultimate social experiment is back again on ITV, as a new batch of housemates have entered the Big Brother house to bring drama to our screens.
Following an explosive Celebrity Big Brother series in April, when Jack P Shepherd was crowned the winner, the civilian series’ third outing since its revival got underway on September 28.
AJ Odudu and Will Best, who recently spoke to Metro ahead of the series airing tonight, return as the hosts, having teased that Big Brother is ‘going to be even more mischievous’ this time around.
The legendary series, which began on Channel 4 in 2000 before moving to Channel 5, was fully revamped and relaunched by the network in 2023.
Although 12 contestants entered the house on Sunday night, it was announced on Monday that four more people would be entering the house.
The four newbies were announced on the spin-off show Big Brother: Late and Live, meaning there are now 15 contestants in the house (after Emily was axed on night one).
Who are the 4 newbies in the Big Brother 2025 cast?
Feyisola, 33
Feyisola is a 33-year-old financial investigator who has watched Big brother since she was a child.
‘I’m obsessed with game shows,’ she admitted. ‘Literally. And obsessed with TV and watching TV. And I thought, “You know what? This is an opportunity. Why not go for it?’”‘
Feyisola has entered the house after being ill for the last few years, and now she’s feeling better, she thinks the time is right to make her Big Brother debut.
She told viewers that she doesn’t like people who are willfully ignorant and isn’t one to take any nonsense.
The star plans to use her skills of perception while in the house, and the games begin.
She also joked that she has a fun side, joking: ‘I’m going to be the crazy old cat lady, aren’t I?’
Cameron B, 25
Cameron B is a 25-year-old who describes himself as a ‘nice normal working class lad.’
A personal trainer from Bolton, Cameron is a Big Brother superfan who’s been watching the show with his mum since he was 10 years old.
In his VT, he joked about his height and how being 6ft5 helps with the ladies.
He also said he has a bit of a backbone, ‘I ain’t no pushover’, he told the camera, although he is worried he might get nominated for being a bit loud and annoying.
Richard, 60
Richard is a 60-year-old composer and author who thinks his dad jokes might get him evicted early on.
He admitted: ‘I was asked in the audition, “Do you think you can win it?”’
‘I said then, and I still think now, realistically, that’s probably an outside chance, by virtue of the fact I would have thought that most people who would watch this show are going to be at the younger end of things and are going to identify more closely with the younger housemates and more likely to vote for them.
‘But you just never know – it would be quite a coup if I did carry it off.’
He also revealed he’s an eternal bachelor and said, ‘People are surprised when they learn that I’ve been single my whole life.’
George, 23
George is a 23-year-old parish councillor from Essex who signed up to Big Brother ‘to meet people from different walks of life and to get the opportunity to chew the fat with them’.
I think you’ve got to try new things, and Big Brother looks like a laugh,’ he told producers. ‘I think I’d be good in there, so I might as well throw my name into the hat.’
George isn’t going into the house to make friends, though. He said he’s hoping to ‘challenge people’s way of thinking’, and isn’t afraid to ‘ruffle feathers’.
He seemed to promise a little chaos as he quipped: ‘You should always have a little tension in a friendship.’
Who are the original cast members in Big Brother 2025?
Gani, 39
From Bromley, this Pizza Hut manager and proud Dua Lipa fan said he’s prepared to ‘take the lead’ if presented with the opportunity.
Gani had the daunting task of being the first housemate to walk in this series, which he did with very shaky legs.
Ahead of entering, he said he’s keen to bring ‘energy’, insisting that he doesn’t have a ‘strategy’ to win.
‘Everyone who sees my social media thinks I have a very quiet attitude, which they say comes across as possibly arrogant,’ he also said.
‘But when they actually meet me, they quickly change their minds and realise I’m quite lovely.’
Cameron, 22
This farmer from Somerset declares himself a bit of an ‘old soul’ and an ‘introverted sort of guy’.
Cameron predicts that he will be ‘quite different to his fellow housemates’, suspecting that there won’t be anyone else who is a ‘country bumpkin-esque figure’.
‘I’m quite looking forward to meeting new people,’ he added. ‘I think I’ll hopefully bring a bit of leadership to the house.’
Nancy, 22
Born in Italy and raised in Glasgow, proudly pansexual Nancy speaks five languages—and she’s vowed to make it known if someone riles her up: ‘If someone is chewing too loud, I’m gonna call them out.’
And it seems she’s going to showcase her ‘fiery’ side on several occasions, while also probably dividing her fellow housemates with her singing and dancing.
‘I’m very up for that throughout the day. No matter what time it is. It could be as soon as I wake up, I will just always be a bundle of energy,’ she said.
As for why she applied for Big Brother, Nancy said she was feeling ‘very lost in life’ after graduating.
‘I’m looking forward to discovering myself even more and seeing how I can connect with people that are different to me,’ she shared.
‘And just seeing who I am as a person and finding out more about myself, connecting with others, and making friends.’
Caroline, 56
Caroline works in PR and has brushed shoulders with everyone from The Who to Kylie Minogue. She’s been engaged five times and stole all of the rings, which, quite frankly, is exactly the energy we need for a BB housemate.
‘People think I’m over the top… I probably am,’ she said ahead of her BB debut, entering the house in a fur coat and cowgirl hat and proceeding to introduce herself to everyone as ‘Monkey’.
Admitting that she’s likely to be nominated for being ‘ratty’, Caroline also confessed to being a ‘loner’, which might not work in her favour.
‘I think everyone thinks I’m this big social butterfly. When I go out, I’ll go out, but when I stay in, I like it very quiet. I like my solitude.’
Zelah, 25
This personal trainer from South London shared in his opening VT that he’s transgender, but he’s unlikely to get on with anyone who is more of a ‘bro-ish’ kind of guy.
‘[The fact] that I am trans is usually quite surprising,’ said Zelah. ‘Because I have a combination of stereotypical masculine traits, in the fact that I’m a PT and I like the gym.
‘But I think the more surprising element is that there’s a level of femininity to me, and I think that is shown in the way that I connect with people and the way I carry myself.’
Should he walk out of the BB house as a winner, Zelah wants to use the prize money to help train other LGBTQ+ people in his business.
‘On a smaller note, I’d like to take my girlfriend on a really lovely holiday to say sorry for leaving her while I’m in the Big Brother house.’
Teja, 18
From Bristol, teenager Teja owns a cleaning business with her mum, who has told her to just ‘be herself’ in the house.
Our youngest housemate said she’s going to get ‘stuck in’ to all the tasks thrown at her, and while she reckons she’s ‘alright to live with’, she thinks people might not like her being so ‘loud’.
‘I do also say what’s on my mind. If I have a problem, I will say. So people might take that the wrong way and see it as me being rude.
‘But I do like to just get things off my chest; people might not like the directness of it.’
Marcus, 22
A mechanical engineer from Manchester, Marcus also joined the Navy when he was 18. Now, he takes pride in his appearance and is admittedly ‘a bit of a flirt’.
Determined to bring the high ‘energy’ to the series, Marcus is also looking forward to watching everyone’s personalities ‘unfold’ as the days pass.
But despite his parents telling him he needs to have a game plan, Marcus wants to do nothing of the sort.
‘I don’t have a strategy,’ he stated. ‘My mum and my dad have both said, “It’s a game, you need to play the game.” But how do you play a game in Big Brother? I’ll just have to go in and see what happens.’
Tate, 27
Tate owns Scotland’s biggest buff butler company, and while he’s teased for potentially showing his ‘cheeky’ side in the house, he’s keen not to be seen as some sort of ‘hunky idiot’, as he also has a master’s in engineering.
The natural entertainer applied for BB to tick it off his ‘bucket list’.
‘Weirdly, I’m excited to not have my phone, to just be completely isolated from everything and focus and connect with people,’ said Tate.
‘I think it’ll be an interesting experience to discover more of myself in there. When you’re stripped of everything, when I don’t have anything to distract me.
‘I’m looking forward to just chatting and building a rapport.’
Elsa, 21
‘I love anything and everything pink,’ Elsa said in her intro VT, before casually revealing that she ‘sees dead people’ and has done so since the age of three.
From Essex, the content creator applied after seeing an ad on TikTok because ‘you’re only 12 once’ so ‘why not?’
Vowing to bring ‘sunshine and laughter’ to the show, Elsa reckons she’s also most likely to be put up for eviction for having a ‘tantrum’ due to how ‘sensitive’ she is.
Sam, 27
From Skipton, this Zumba instructor, who makes ‘old people shake their bums for a living’, was perhaps the most excitable housemate of all, squealing his way into the ITV abode.
‘You’ve gotta make an entrance, honey!’, Sam said proudly before going in.
Asked to share something about himself that will surprise others, Sam said: ‘I’m kind of what you see is what you get. But saying that, maybe everything’s a surprise. I’m full of surprises.’
Jenny, 20
Proud Derry girl and ‘rule breaker’ Jenny does not like being bossed around. The makeup artist has made is known already that she’s less likely to do something if someone tells her to do it… which we can’t imagine Big Brother will be a fan of.
She is also not shy about telling people what she thinks of them: ‘I think I’m most likely to be nominated for being too honest. Because if you ask for my opinion, you’re going to get it.’
But as well as that, she just wants to bring ‘good craic’ to the house, which we’re all here for.
‘I think I will try my best to make everybody laugh and just be positive.’
Who’s been evicted from Big Brother 2025?
Emily, 25
This unashamed Conservative political events manager Emily Hewertson was the first to be evicted from the Big Brother house.
Before entering the house, Emily declared she believes Boris Johnson is a ‘teddy bear’, adding she’s ‘gagging for a husband’ and anyone who won’t date a Tory is ‘missing out’.
Emily, however, proved a divisive figure and was booed as she entered the house with some viewers branding her the new series ‘villain’ after the first episode aired.
She was evicted after being made to play the Evil Eye game, where she and housemates Caroline Monk and Sam Ashby had to vote among themselves to decide which of them should be immediately evicted.
The Tory influencer attempted to convince her fellow housemates she should stay in the house, as this was a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity for her, but her protests ultimately fell on deaf ears, and she left the show.
Where to watch the new series of Big Brother
Following the live launch of Big Brother tonight on ITV2 and ITVX, fans should keep their evenings free for the next few weeks.
Each new episode will air Sunday-Friday at the same time (9pm) for the next seven weeks on ITV, with no new episodes on Saturdays!
The Big Brother: Late and Live after-show will then air at 10.30pm, with celebrity guests and former housemates on hand to dish up exclusive first looks and dissect the latest house action.
ITV is now very much the official home of the beloved show and has released two civilian editions and two celebrity editions, with new presenters filling the shoes of legendary Channel 4 host Davina McCall.
The start date for 2025, being September 28, means that Big Brother 2025 starts more than a week earlier than Big Brother 2024, which didn’t get underway until October 6, which is most thrilling for us, given that we have an extended run.
Who won Big Brother 2024?
Looking back to the last civilian series, viewers voted in their thousands to crown forensic psychologist Ali Bromley as the winner. She took home the life-changing sum of £90,000.
The win meant that Ali, 38, was not only the oldest-ever female winner of the beloved reality show, but also its first-ever lesbian winner in the UK.
Ali beat fellow finalists Marcello Spooks, Segun Shodipo, Hanah Haji, Nathan King, and Emma Morgan to join 2023 champ Jordan Sangha in the BB Hall of Fame.
Speaking in her winner’s interview, after learning she had received a whopping 51.9% of the votes, Ali said she believes people backed her for being ‘authentic’ and not having a ‘game plan’.
Who won Celebrity Big Brother 2025?
Both the civilian and celebrity series have had some iconic housemates over the years.
Earlier in 2025, Celebrity Big Brother endured several controversies, including when Mickey Rourke was kicked out of the house for repeatedly using offensive language.
We also saw a relationship bloom between Love Islander Chris Hughes and Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa, which, while it began as platonic, became something much more once cameras stopped rolling.
In the end, Coronation Street star Jack, 37, shocked fans after emerging triumphant during the final of the ITV reality show, beating the likes of Drag Race icon Danny Beard as he took home the crown.
Watch Big Brother Sunday-Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
