WWE fans are worried they could be witnessing the end of The New Day.
The iconic group – which was founded by Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E – has been a constant on Raw and SmackDown since forming a decade ago, but things are getting tense.
On last night’s edition of Raw, Kofi and Xavier suffered a quick loss to Alpha Academy just one week before their planned 10th anniversary celebration episode.
In footage shown during the broadcast, the two former tag champions nearly came to blows as they exploded with some bitterly personal insults being fired both ways.
Kofi accused Xavier of ‘fumbling’ his recent Intercontinental Title shot and his 2021 King of the Ring win, claiming he takes ‘too many unnecessary risks’.
His partner fired back insisted he had to take risks to help the former WWE Champion, claiming he is the ‘reason’ he won the gold.

‘Nah, man. I was a Hall of Famer when you met me. That’s why you asked me to be a part of this group, not the other way round,’ Kofi argued. Do you know why you have never been a world champion like me, and like E? It’s because you have not been good enough.’
Xavier exploded: ‘I was good enough to take your beatings, wasn’t I? I was good enough to believe in you, wasn’t I? Just like they believed in you – and what did we do with that belief?
‘We turned it into KofiMania and we handed it to you. And what did you do with that? You p***ed it away on a silver platter in six seconds to Brock Lesnar.’

Fans couldn’t believe what they were hearing, with some viewers worried about the future of the iconic group.
‘This was brutal and dirty and hurtful. Absolutely amazing cinema,’ commented @matias_8823 on YouTube, while @hpesojogladih9782 added: ‘RIP The New Day 2014-2024 😢.’
‘Both Kofi and Xavier getting personal here. It’s over guys 💔 #WWERaw’ wrote X user @reigns_era, and @wallflowerperry said: ‘Seeing Kofi and Xavier argue like this is too much. I knew it was coming but, whew. It’s heavy.’

There was a lot of truth to everything Xavier and Kofi said, and the latter recently reflected on the wild journey they’ve been on as they prepare for their own special episode of Raw to mark the past 10 years.
He exclusively told Metro.co.uk earlier this month: ‘It’s pretty incredible to have had that level of impact on the industry.
‘I actually sent Woods a text this morning about how appreciative I was of him, of being my tag team partner. I never lose sight of how rare and special our bond is.’
