Two of Xbox’s biggest games have received extended gameplay videos, showing a better look at both Fable and Halo: Campaign Evolved.

Microsoft showed off fresh looks at all its major upcoming games during the Xbox Games Showcase, but it’s decided to drop even more footage for two of them.

Gears Of War: E-Day got the biggest blowout during Sunday’s showcase, coupled with confirmation that it’s an Xbox console exclusive – alongside Clockwork Revolution. However, it was arguably Fable which stole the show in terms of its first party line-up.

The fantasy role-player, developed by Playground Games, was delayed to February 23, to avoid GTA 6’s launch, but if you’re craving another glimpse at the game’s world, Microsoft has released a new deep dive.

The 30 minute gameplay demo gives an uninterrupted look at the game’s systems and the rebooted world of Albion, which looks like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 under a whimsical filter. It also covers some of the choices you’ll be faced with, including whether or not to kill a talking pig.

Additionally, the clip shows off how non-playable characters will react to you depending on your reputation. In one instance, it shows the lead character hiring a beggar called Jack to work at his newly acquired pub, which he’s able to do because he’s built up a friendship with him.

In the second half, it goes into the relationship dynamics you can explore, including marriage, having kids, or, if you’re bored of romancing Megan the Merchant, binning them off entirely – all through a mere menu toggle.

It all looks pretty impressive, and suitably Fable. Playground Games is promising there’ll be 1,000 fully voiced characters in the final game too, so that’s a lot of potential heartbreaks.

If you’re more about shooting aliens than British fantasy whimsy, Microsoft has also released a 28 minute demo for Halo: Campaign Evolved showing off the fifth mission, Assault On The Control Room.

Based on the demo, it essentially looks like a glossed-up version of Halo, which is exactly what you should expect from a remake. A separate video also shows off the newly added third person perspective in The Silent Cartographer mission.

Halo: Campaign Evolved, which doesn’t have any competitive multiplayer, is set to launch on July 28, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
