No one can create TV chaos quite like Alison Hammond, and Prince Harry knows it.

The popular presenter, 50, is a familiar face on ITV daytime TV and Channel 4’s Great British Bake Off and has whipped up plenty of mayhem and mischief during her career.

We would be here all day if we listed meme-able Alison moment from her out-of-control Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling interview to that time she accidentally plunged someone into the sea.

Much like the rest of the British public, it seems Prince Harry is just as obsessed with the meme queen as the rest of us.

In a new clip promoting his appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, he lip-synced another one of those moments with the US talk show host, in which he dazzlingly played the part of ar Alison.

They chose an interaction from the 2024 Bake Off series in which the national treasure asked one of the contestants with a strong accent, Mark Lutton, what they would want her to do if they were king for the day.

As he replied: ‘Bake for me probably,’ Alison kept on mishearing it, asking with a confused grin: ‘You’d want me to do what? Beg?’ until eventually he had to spell it out.

When it clicked in her head the pair dissolved into laughter, marked by Alison’s infectious cackle. And, we can’t believe we’re saying this, but Prince Harry absolutely understood the assignment.

Move aside Meghan, there’s a new actor in the family!

And fans were strongly in agreement.

Mark himself commented, writing: ‘Never did I think my mispronunciation would have such impact!’

‘Wait I love this though,’ books_massachusetts also wrote in the Instagram comments.

‘Have watched this 100+ times already,’ Shaunanep added.

‘Tip: watch this half a dozen times and it gets funnier every time after that,’ karimjones shared.

‘Prince Harry crushed that lip synch,’ thenotoriousjtb echoed. ‘Prince Harry as Alison Hammond is something I never knew I needed,’ kylegrant01 said.

‘This is scary good,’ lucyground agreed.

Clearly, Alison has won him round since the last time the two almost met.

In 2017, she attempted to scoop an interview with him and his beau during a visit to Nottingham and shared her excitement with the camera.

‘Harry, come and get warmed up by me! Hi, how you doing? Congratulations!’ she shouted to the royal but ultimately Prince Harry tragically swerved her, muttering a polite: ‘Alison, I’m sorry.’

Although she did have a bit more luck with Meghan later down the line, when the Duchess thanked her for her congratulations.

A few years later, when watching it again, Alison simply said: ‘That is so embarrassing to watch back.’

But, hey, if this latest lip-sync is anything to go by, an Alison- Prince Harry reunion could be on the cards.
