Rapper and YouTube personality Yung Filly has admitted to biting a woman ‘numerous times’ as he took the witness stand in his rape trial.
Real name Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, the 30-year-old is accused of raping a woman after a performance at a nightclub in Perth, Australia, in 2024. He was touring in the country at the time.
Testifying at the District Court of Western Australia today, a week into the trial, he recalled how he ‘fancied’ the woman, whom he met at the concert venue, called Bar1.
He denied touching her inappropriately, claiming he ‘put his hand on her waist’, but not on her breasts or down her pants, as she has alleged.
‘It didn’t happen,’ he said. ‘I recall putting my hand on her waist.’
Previously, the woman said that she told Barrientos, ‘I’m not like that,’ when he put his hand down her underwear.
He allegedly replied, ‘It really shows your age’, later telling her, ‘You’re coming home with me tonight.’
The woman has also said he gave her tequila shots, but he claims these were handed out by a bar manager.
‘I was standing in the VIP (area), and she was standing in the general area, and she leant over a barrier and said something to me,’ Barrientos told the court, adding that ‘she had a really good energy about her’.
Barrientos was not shocked that the woman wanted to go back to his hotel with him, saying he could ‘tell she was into him’.
He grabbed her hand and started to walk out with her, but then let go.
‘I quickly realised I didn’t want to be seen on socials.’
Upon arriving at his hotel with the alleged victim, who was then aged 20, he claims the ‘vibes were good’.
Barrientos’ security guard took the woman’s phone away, which he insists is ‘standard practice’ for privacy reasons, given that he is ‘in the limelight’.
While it was not explicitly mentioned that they would be having sex when they left the club at around 3.30am, he believed they would.
They proceeded to have consensual sex, which he describes as ‘great’ and with ‘grunting and moaning… in a good way’, but the court previously heard that Barrientos then turned violent, and she told him to stop, after which he allegedly slapped her even harder.
The jury has also already heard how he allegedly put his hands around her neck ‘tightly’ for several seconds while instructing her to say ‘derogatory things’, which she refused to do before starting to cry.
After this, Barrientos is accused of raping her multiple times, including anally, before ordering a burger through room service.
The woman then left, allegedly hearing Barrientos tell his minder that she was ‘not good in bed’.
While the social media star has denied choking and slapping the woman, as has been alleged, he said he did bite her: ‘In England, we would call it a love bite.’
‘My mouth on her skin; it involves sucking (and) my teeth were involved, to some extent,’ he explained.
Photos of the woman’s alleged injuries were shown, having been taken the day after the alleged rapes when she reported them to the police. One image displayed deep bruising and teeth marks on her face and neck.
One of his bites broke the skin on the woman’s breast, after which she had a tetanus shot at the hospital.
CCTV of the two leaving the venue together was also played, showing Barrientos and his all-male entourage climbing into a white minivan, with the woman following shortly afterwards, pausing at the door before getting inside.
‘All I remember is me leaving in front of her,’ said Barrientos while being questioned by his barrister. ‘And before I knew it, she was in the vehicle.’
He could not remember whether he spoke to her during the journey to his hotel.
Barrientos has been charged with six counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault causing bodily harm, and one count of impeding someone’s normal breathing.
He has pleaded not guilty to all counts.
The Colombia-born entertainer, who has 1.8million YouTube subscribers and three million TikTok followers, has been on bail since he was charged.
He was allowed to fly back to the UK before his trial commenced.
What to do if you’ve been raped

- If you plan on going to the police, if possible, do not wash your clothes or shower, bathe or brush your teeth. If you do get changed, keep the clothes you were wearing in a plastic bag. These steps will help to preserve any DNA evidence your attacker may have left on your body or clothes.
