One person was killed in a collision in Norwalk early Tuesday, Sept. 1, with 15 vehicles getting struck.
Two vehicles were traveling eastbound on Rosecrans Avenue around 12:50 a.m. when one rear-ended the other, causing both to roll over several times, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Tracy Koerner said.
The collision, near Rosecrans and Longworth avenues, involved five moving vehicles and 11 parked ones, the Sheriff’s Department said.
The driver who died was ejected from his vehicle, the department said.
One vehicle was traveling behind the two vehicles and collided into multiple parked vehicles, authorities said.
The collision was being investigated to have possibly been caused by vehicles racing, the sheriff’s deputy said.
Another driver was treated by emergency personnel at the scene but not taken to the hospital, authorities said.
