A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder after a fatal stabbing at a Jefferson Park home on Sunday night, according to the Denver Police Department.

Officers responded to a stabbing at a home in the 2300 block of North Federal Boulevard at approximately 5:21 p.m. and found one person with “apparent sharp force injuries,” police officials said in a news release.
The victim was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead. They will be identified by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
Officers later arrested George Vigil, alleging he knew the victim and the pair got into a fight that escalated into “a physical altercation and stabbing.”
Vigil is in custody at the Downtown Detention Center. Information about his bail and next court date was not immediately available.
