Two people were injured when an airplane crashed Wednesday morning at Douglas County’s Meridian Golf Club, according to South Metro Fire Rescue.
Crews responded to the aircraft emergency around 9:43 a.m. Wednesday, according to the fire department. Initial reports stated the aircraft crashed and flipped upside down.
The small Cessna plane was carrying two people who both walked away from the crash with minor injuries, fire officials said in an update.
A photo posted by South Metro shows the Cessna upside down on the golf course with damage to the wings and nose. The plane’s tail reads “ATP” — a national flight school with Colorado training centers in Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs.

No flames were spotted coming out of the aircraft, and crews are on-scene to assess the damage, fire officials said.
