2 killed, 2 injured in overnight Denver motorcycle crashes

Two people were killed and two people were injured in separate overnight crashes involving motorcycles in Denver, police said.

One Tuesday night crash in the city’s Lincoln Park neighborhood shut down southbound Interstate 25 at Eighth Avenue, according to a 10:58 p.m. post from the Denver Police Department. The highway had fully reopened Wednesday morning.

That crash left one person dead and sent two others to the hospital in unknown condition, police said.

Information about the cause of the crash and number of vehicles involved was not available

Earlier Tuesday night, about four miles away in Denver’s Cheesman Park neighborhood, another person died in a crash near East 13th Avenue and Race Street, police said in a 9:23 p.m. post.

Police said the victim, who has not been publicly identified, died from their injuries on scene.

The victims in both crashes will be identified by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
