Two men were wounded in a shooting Friday afternoon in the Logan Square neighborhood.
The men were near the alley in the 2000 block of North Saint Louis Avenue when they were shot about 5 p.m., Chicago police said.
One man, 29, was struck in the shoulder and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, police said. The other, 29, was shot in the arm and was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was in good condition.
A man who lives nearby, but did not want to be named, said he heard about six gunshots, which he initially thought were fireworks.
“I always brag about how this neighborhood has gotten safer over the years, but lately it seems like more crime is happening around here,” he said. “I don’t know why. I don’t know what’s happening.”
No arrests have been made.
