2 vehicles sought in fatal hit-and-run in North Hills

Police sought the public’s help Sunday in identifying the drivers of two vehicles that struck and killed a man in the North Hills area of the San Fernando Valley.

The collision occurred around 5 a.m. Sept. 13 on Sepulveda Boulevard south of Parthenia Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

A black SUV and a silver pickup truck were traveling southbound on Sepulveda when they struck the man as he was crossing the street westbound outside a crosswalk, police said. Both vehicles continued southbound without stopping, according to police.

Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene. His name was being withheld pending notification of relatives.

Neither vehicle nor driver had been located as of Sunday afternoon, an LAPD officer said.
